00:00Hello again, a fine Friday for most of us before rain arrives this weekend. There will
00:06be one or two showers I think for Friday afternoon in parts of North Wales, North West England
00:11and more especially Northern and North West Scotland. Otherwise for many it's dry, it's
00:17bright, there will be some sunny spells out there, I think turning cloudier in the west
00:21later with temperatures around average for the time of year 8 or 9 Celsius. However it
00:26will feel a bit colder there across Northern Ireland, Western Scotland as the wind picks
00:30up and then the rain sweeps in during the evening. Wet weather for Northern Ireland,
00:34for much of Scotland, falling as snow over the hills for a time before it turns milder,
00:38also some snow over the Pennines but by the end of the night milder air is affecting many
00:43places. So a touch of frost at first overnight for East Anglia and the South East but temperatures
00:48recover by dawn and this is how things look first thing Saturday, 4 to 8 Celsius, cloudy,
00:55outbreaks of rain in many places and increasingly windy, gales around Irish Sea coasts, 50 perhaps
01:0160 mph wind gusts in some of the more exposed spots and damp for many. The rain replaced
01:07by showers for Scotland and Northern Ireland, some heavy downpours for Western Scotland
01:12and Northern Ireland but it becomes heavier and more persistent once again as we head
01:15into the afternoon for Northern England, for Wales and it pushes into the Midlands as well
01:19as the South West. Where we've got the wet and windy weather, temperatures reaching double
01:24figures but actually East Anglia and the South East escape the rain through daylight
01:28hours at least, 8 or 9 Celsius here, turning increasingly cloudy and breezy through the
01:33day and then outbreaks of mainly light rain push south to affect Southern England during
01:40Saturday evening. So some easing of the rain across central areas for a time on Saturday
01:46night, showers continue for Scotland as well as Northern Ireland and it stays blustery
01:51so a frost free start once again on Sunday but a wet start for many as the next weather
01:57front moves in, this becoming widely established across Western parts of the country for the
02:04start of Sunday. So a wet and windy start for Northern and Western England, for parts
02:08of Wales, the rain pushing into Southern and Central Scotland, Northern Ireland through
02:12the morning and the rain heavy at times, particularly for Wales and over the higher parts of Wales,
02:1960, perhaps even 100 millimetres of rain throughout Saturday and Sunday could cause
02:23some issues on Sunday with travel disruption possible. So for parts of Wales, a yellow
02:29warning in force and the wind also could be a bit of a nuisance for Southern coasts with
02:35gales in exposed spots but it is coming from a mild direction, 10 or 11 Celsius despite
02:41the wind and rain. And then for Central and Northern Scotland, a brighter sky is here
02:46with a few showers in the far north turning showery for most of us on Monday but certainly
02:53in many places it's a wet weekend. More on social media.
