00:00Hello again. Lots of dry weather yet again this week, turning out to be a very dry April.
00:06Some sunshine around, but also one or two showers today. It's on the chilly side and
00:10will be all week. High pressure is dominating, but at the moment sitting way up to the north
00:14and the winds coming around that high pressure, bringing the chilly air. It feels pleasant
00:19enough in the sunshine because the winds are relatively light, certainly lighter than over
00:23the weekend. But under the cloud and where we see a few showers over northern England,
00:28east Midlands, south-east England this afternoon, well, that's not going to feel very pleasant
00:32at all. But as I say, in the sunny spells, south-west England, south Wales, not too bad,
00:3616, maybe 17 Celsius, but a cooler feel on those eastern coasts. But as I said, at least
00:41the winds are not as strong as they were over the weekend. One or two scattered showers
00:46through the evening over the Midlands, perhaps drifting towards east Wales, but tending to
00:50fade away. So for most, it turns dry fairly quickly through the evening and overnight.
00:55Where we will see more cloud is eastern Scotland and again, maybe the odd shower here through
01:00the night. But for most, dry and clear and light winds. So that's a recipe for temperatures
01:06tumbling and we're going to see lows even in towns and cities well down into single
01:10figures. So some rural spots likely to dip close to freezing. Chilly start then to Tuesday,
01:16but a sunny one by and large. A fine day across Wales, south-west England. We will see the
01:21cloud increasing across eastern areas. A grey start for eastern Scotland, but that
01:26cloud spilling through central and southern Scotland, parts of north-east England, where
01:29we could again see one or two showers through the day, perhaps drifting towards Lincolnshire
01:34and Norfolk by the afternoon. Again, though, most places won't see those showers staying
01:39dry. Where it's gloomy, it is going to feel quite chilly. Struggling to get into double
01:44figures for some, but with some brightness again, southern England, Wales. Yes, some
01:49cloud will bubble up through the day, but we should see some decent spirals of sunshine
01:52as we should for Northern Ireland and temperatures here getting into the mid-teens. As we go
01:57through Tuesday evening, not a great deal of change. Any showers will fade away. The
02:01cloud will tend to melt away once more. So again, likely to turn quite cold with again
02:06in rural areas, pockets of frost for Wednesday morning. And that's a theme of the week because
02:11that high pressure is slipping its way southwards. So keeping things dry, we'll see some good
02:17spirals of sunshine, I suspect, but always a bit cloudier in the east and always the
02:21likelihood of temperatures at night dropping down close to freezing. So not a particularly
02:26warm week, but generally a dry week with sunny spirals for many and staying on the chilly
02:32side. For day-to-day details, make sure you keep up to date with the very latest from
02:37the Met Office. Best way to do that, of course, follow us across social media.
