00:00Hello there. Drier, brighter and warmer for many through Thursday away from the

00:05north and the west of Scotland, always more cloud here and some outbreaks of

00:09rain. In fact one or two sharp showers continue across eastern counties of

00:13England through Wednesday evening, tending to fade away before midnight.

00:16Inland, particularly in the countryside, temperatures slightly lower than the

00:20last few nights but notice towards the northwest this weather front here will

00:23bring more cloud and some outbreaks of rain, sort of skirting western Scotland

00:27moving up towards the Northern Isles with more rain arriving across the

00:30Western Isles later. It will trail down towards Northern Ireland where

00:34temperatures will hold up, even a little rain to start the day here. So through

00:38Thursday morning, a fair amount of cloud for Scotland but persistent rain moves

00:42from Orkney towards Shetland. More rain then comes in across the Outer

00:46Hebrides. Across the Northwest Highlands, yes you'll see low cloud and some patchy

00:49rain and drizzle and a bit of a cloudy start to the day for Northern Ireland

00:53but for much of England and Wales it's a dry start with some brighter weather

00:59coming through, if not some sunshine. So through the morning we watch as this

01:03rain just shifts up towards the far north of Scotland, always damp across

01:08the western side of Scotland including Dumfries and Galloway as well as Ayrshire

01:13will brighten up across Northern Ireland. You can see here the most persistent rain

01:16across the far northwest. Elsewhere it's a fine day with some sunshine, the cloud

01:21just coming and going, even eastern Scotland seeing some brighter weather

01:25through the afternoon. And temperatures rising very nicely, slightly higher than

01:29Wednesday, 18 to 21, 22 degrees Celsius, so a warm afternoon in prospect across

01:35many areas. Still quite a keen breeze though towards the far northwest. And

01:39here's your outlook through Friday. A band of rain will sink down across

01:43England and Wales, becoming heavy for a time. A few showers in its wake but some

01:47brighter skies as well. And then things settle down into the weekend and warm up

01:52by Sunday. Bye bye.
