Transcript
00:00continue to peak into the 30s through the rest of the week across more
00:04southern and southeastern areas. Heatwave conditions across much of England and
00:08Wales and still very warm across Scotland and Northern Ireland with some
00:12sunshine. So we're warm evening to come on Tuesday evening but notice this
00:17onshore breeze here will continue to deliver some low cloud overnight and
00:22with that we could see some mist and fog patches as well. Bit of a breeze towards
00:27the northeast clearer skies across Northern Ireland down towards Wales at
00:31central southern England. So wherever you are it's going to be a warm night. You'll
00:35notice the difference across Scotland where we have had some chilly nights.
00:37However temperatures holding up here around 12, 13, 14 degrees Celsius and
00:44even the glens of Scotland around 9 or 10. Further south though Northern Ireland
00:48England and Wales 16 to 18 degrees Celsius. So humid night perhaps
00:53uncomfortable for some and a very warm start to the day come Wednesday morning.
00:57This cloud will shroud the eastern side through Wednesday morning across
01:02Scotland, eastern England down towards the Midlands and even move in across
01:06the far northeast of Wales. Clearer skies for Northern Ireland and a fine start to
01:11the day with sunshine across southern counties of England and Wales. However
01:15through the morning we watch as this cloud burns back to the coast. Still
01:20quite a breeze along this eastern side of Scotland up towards Shetland as well
01:24as Orkney. The cloud will break here and any dampness in the air across
01:28Aberdeenshire will lift as the sun comes through. So through the afternoon it's a
01:33fine afternoon mostly dry. There's a small chance of a shower across Northern
01:37Ireland and further south as well. But most places will have that dry weather
01:41that very warm weather. It's going to feel humid and temperatures typically
01:46coming in the mid-twenties for western Scotland, Northern Ireland, southwest
01:49Scotland. 26, 27 across Wales and then 30 to 32 across East Anglia as well as the
01:57southeast. High pressure sits towards the east of the UK. We are inheriting this
02:02very warm air from the near continent. A weak weather front could bring some
02:05showery bursts across the north and the west of Scotland on Friday and an
02:09increasing chance of some thunderstorms through Thursday, Friday and into the
02:13weekend. They will be hit and miss initially and then perhaps a little bit
02:18more lively as we head through the weekend as cooler air slowly pushes in
02:23across the far north and west. So here's your cities list on Thursday across
02:27Scotland and Northern Ireland. Temperatures well above average for this
02:31time of year. A small chance of a shower towards the west and or outlook across
02:35England and Wales. Yet again we'll see temperatures into the high 20s and low
02:4030s. A similar situation across Scotland and Northern Ireland on Friday away from
02:44the north and the west of Scotland where we will see more clouds and even
02:48a little showery rain. Again we could see the odd shower towards the west but
02:52also some sunny spells coming through and your outlook on Friday across
02:57England and Wales. Feeling hot and humid after a very muggy night and your
03:03outlook as we head into the weekend. There is a thunderstorm risk. Stay tuned
03:08to the forecast. We'll keep you posted here. Still hot in the south and some
03:12sunny spells around as well. I'll see you later.
