00:00Good morning. Welcome to our latest weather update from the Met Office. So, low pressure
00:05has brought plenty of showers over the past couple of days, and that's going to continue
00:08as we head through the rest of Tuesday. Further outbreaks of rain, though, arriving from the
00:13southwest through the early hours of this morning. There will be some sunshine across
00:16parts of Scotland and northeast England. However, this soon replaced by this band of rain pushing
00:21its way north and eastwards in towards this afternoon. Some heavy showers then developing
00:25across parts of Northern Ireland, Wales, southern and central parts of England, and these could
00:29turn quite heavy in places with some hail and thunder mixed in too. Temperatures around
00:34about average for the time of year, 17, 18, maybe 19 degrees across the south, and likely
00:39to feel quite muggy and humid under that cloud and rain further north. Through the rest of
00:44Tuesday, we're into this evening, that area of rain continues to push its way north and
00:49eastwards, perhaps lingering for a time across parts of Scotland, and we could see some further
00:53outbreaks of rain across the southern half of the UK, with plenty of showers still around
00:57through the first part of the night. However, gradually starting to turn a little drier
01:01as we head through the early hours of Wednesday morning. It'll be a mild night across the
01:05board, particularly in those towns and cities. Temperatures around 11 or 12 degrees, but
01:09under some clearer spells in some rural spots, perhaps dropping just a little lower. It does
01:15mean that Wednesday starts a dry day for most of us. Plenty of sunny spells through the
01:18first part of the morning, perhaps a little cloudier across parts of Northern Ireland
01:22and western Scotland, but as we head through Wednesday afternoon is when we start to see
01:25those showers redeveloping. Again, these are likely to turn heaviest across eastern
01:30parts of Scotland, north-east England. Again, some hail and thunder mixed in, so we could
01:34see some localised flooding in places, but there will still be some sunny spells between
01:38those showers. And temperatures still round about average for the time of year, maybe
01:41up a touch compared to Tuesday, 19 or 20 degrees in the south, and feeling a little fresher
01:46further north with a northerly breeze, so maybe 15 or 16 degrees here. You can find
01:52out more about the showers through the rest of Wednesday and Thursday by subscribing to
01:56our YouTube channel so you never miss a weather update. Bye bye!
