00:00Good afternoon. Welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. So, low pressure
00:05still very much in charge through the rest of Bank Holiday Monday, situated out towards
00:09the north of the U.K. And then another area of low pressure waiting in the wings through
00:13the rest of Bank Holiday Monday and particularly into Tuesday and Wednesday as well, bringing
00:18further outbreaks of rain spreading their way northwards as we head in towards the middle
00:22part of the week. ISOBAR is slowly spacing apart, so winds turning a little lighter through
00:27the middle part of the week, but there will still be plenty of rain and showers around.
00:32Back to the rest of this afternoon and plenty of showers across parts of Scotland and northern
00:36England, these turning heavy and thundery in places, so we could see some localised
00:41flooding as those showers could be quite slow moving in places. Plenty of showers still
00:45across much of England and Wales, although not quite as heavy as we saw yesterday, and
00:49Northern Ireland still seeing some showers too. There will be some sunny spells between
00:53those showers and it will be feeling quite pleasant in that sunshine, perhaps a little
00:56lower those temperatures than we've seen over recent days. We could see highs of 17,
01:0018, maybe 19 degrees, which is around about average for the time of year. As we head through
01:07the rest of Monday, though, all eyes out towards the southwestern area of rain pushing up from
01:11the southwest through Monday evening and into the start of Tuesday, and those heavy showers
01:16gradually starting to ease across the northern half of the U.K., with some clear spells across
01:20much of Scotland, northern and eastern parts of England, but across Northern Ireland, Wales
01:24and southwestern parts of England. It's a cloudy start to the day on Tuesday and a mild
01:28start to temperatures under that cloud and rain holding up in the double figures, maybe
01:3212 or 13 degrees, but a little bit chillier under those clearer skies, perhaps as low
01:37as six or seven in places. So it does mean a cloudy and damp start for many of us on
01:42Tuesday. Northern Ireland, Wales and southern parts of England seeing that heaviest rain
01:47through the morning, slowly pushing its way north and eastwards as we head through towards
01:51the middle part of the day. Some early brightness across parts of Scotland and northern England,
01:55but that rain eventually arriving through the afternoon and turning heavy over any high
01:59ground. We'll see some showers breaking out as well across Northern Ireland, Wales and
02:03southern parts of England through Tuesday afternoon and generally a bit of a cloudier
02:07day again, but temperatures around about average for the time of year, although perhaps feeling
02:11a little cooler under that cloud and particularly cooler under that frontal band of rain. Through
02:16the rest of Tuesday, the rain does continue to push its way northwards, although perhaps
02:20lingering for a time across parts of Scotland. And we'll see further outbreaks of rain across
02:24Wales and southern parts of England as well, and plenty of heavy showers around overnight
02:29Tuesday and into the start of Wednesday. There will then still be plenty of showers around
02:33through Wednesday and Thursday, but make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel so you
02:37can find out more about that closer to the time. Bye bye.
