00:00Good morning, welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. So it's been a
00:04bit of a cloudy start for some of us this morning. We've seen a band of rain sinking
00:08its way southwards and that eventually clears its way towards the southeast over the next
00:12couple of hours, leaving plenty of sunny spells for the majority of the UK. Still remaining
00:17a little cloudier across parts of Scotland, some showery outbreaks of rain here and northern
00:21and eastern parts of England likely to see some showers bubbling up through the afternoon.
00:25But it's Northern Ireland, western parts of Wales, southwest England that are likely to
00:29see the best of the sunshine today. Feeling pleasant in that sunshine too, although temperatures
00:33perhaps a touch lower than what we saw yesterday, 22 or 23 degrees in the south and quite widely
00:38elsewhere in those mid to high teens. As we then go through the rest of Sunday evening,
00:43those showers do continue for a time across northern parts of England, but then generally
00:47turning much drier overnight for the majority of us. However, this next system arrives from
00:51the northwest, affecting Northern Ireland and western parts of Scotland. The rain turning
00:55particularly heavy across western parts of Scotland through the early hours of Monday
00:59morning. Elsewhere though, generally staying drier overnight and under those clear spells
01:03we could see temperatures dropping down into the mid-single figures, but towns and cities
01:07generally holding up above 10 degrees and staying a little milder under that cloud and
01:11rain as well. So that does mean that for parts of Northern Ireland and western Scotland it
01:16will be quite a cloudy and damp start to the day. That area of rain continues to push its
01:21way eastwards through Monday morning, although the southeast of England is still holding
01:24on to a bit of sunshine for a time. And as that system clears its way towards the east,
01:29western parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and southwest England definitely seeing
01:33a bit of sunshine through the afternoon. Temperatures are looking similar to what we saw on Sunday,
01:37so in the south into the low 20s, but further north generally staying in those mid to high
01:42teens. There is further wet weather on the way later in the week, but you can find out
01:46more about that by subscribing to our YouTube channel. Bye bye.
