00:00Good morning. Another chilly start for some of us, but there will be plenty of sunshine
00:04for the next few hours, particularly if you're across eastern areas of the country. However,
00:09this pesky north-westerly wind will continue to bring in showers to north-western areas,
00:13particularly north-western Scotland, the islands and highlands. We could see a risk of further
00:18thunderstorms, a mix of hail as well. There's also a risk of showers into Northern Ireland,
00:22parts of southern Scotland, but elsewhere it should stay largely dry through today.
00:26The winds are a little bit lighter away from the north-west compared to yesterday, so it
00:30is going to be a slightly warmer day. Highs of around 19 degrees in the south and many
00:34areas up to 17 or 18 degrees, so not too bad in sheltered sunshine. But if you are across
00:40the north and west, it's going to be another pretty cool-feeling day for early June. And
00:45overnight tonight, that rain and showers will likely turn a bit more persistent as we see
00:51a banned push-in from the north-west, so we could see some localised flooding issues from
00:55that. Ahead of that though, for many areas of the UK, it should be another dry and bright
01:00night and potentially another fairly cool start to the day across the south and east
01:04with temperatures rurally down into the lower single figures. As we head into Friday, it's
01:10likely to be a bit more of a widely unsettled day as this band of showery rain pushes eastwards
01:15through the day. We'll see more in the way of cloud ahead of that band and a risk of
01:19showers as well, pushing into parts of the south-east as well. Some brightness to come
01:24once that band does clear through and I think temperatures will slowly start to rise because
01:28there's a little bit more cloud around. We've got less of the cold air around as well, but
01:32still a little bit below par for the time of year. However, as we head towards the weekend,
01:39the risk of showers gets pushed further north and it does look like it should turn a little
01:43bit drier, brighter and warmer across the south. Make sure you keep up to date with
01:47all the latest and you can do that by subscribing to our YouTube channel. Bye bye.
