00:00Good afternoon. After a bright start to the day, it's going to get a lot more cloudier
00:04this afternoon, but most areas should stay dry. Let's have a look at the satellite and
00:09radar from so far this morning. You can see some quite heavy showers already moving into
00:13southern areas and across the north, some coastal showers as well, but inland still
00:17fairly dry and it should stay like that through much of the day, though some of those showers
00:21will start to drift further inland across the north. And as I said, skies will get that
00:26much cloudier, but it won't feel too bad in any sheltered sunshine. Further south,
00:30as I said, those showery outbreaks of rain are starting to affect parts of the southwest
00:34by this afternoon. These could bring some quite heavy driving, tricky driving conditions
00:39as well. And I think temperatures will once again be below par, so you'll be fairly disappointed
00:44if you are stuck under any of that rain and cloud after that particularly chilly start
00:48this morning. And it's going to be another cold night tonight, particularly across the
00:52north as cloud will melt away once again, should turn much drier and clearer through
00:57the night and a frost is likely to develop for parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland
01:01could be down as low as minus four to start the day on Saturday. Across the south, though,
01:06it will be a milder start. However, it's going to be quite a cloudy and wet start. This band
01:10of showery rain is going to continue its journey northwards into parts of Wales and southern
01:14areas of the Midlands, perhaps into the southeast by Saturday morning as well. So probably quite
01:19a wet start to the day and that showery outbreaks of rain will continue to affect central areas
01:24through much of the day, bringing with it quite a lot of cloud to the north of that,
01:29though it should stay fairly dry and bright. I think the best of sunshine will once again
01:33be in the morning, similar to today. There is a risk of a few coastal showers into the
01:37afternoon across the far south coast of England. It will turn a little bit warmer by the afternoon
01:42as milder air is starting to arrive. And in any brightness, it won't feel too bad at all.
01:48However, there is a risk of some very heavy showers, particularly across the south coast
01:53on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday evening, it should stay quite cloudy. Most areas will
01:58be dry, but we could see some fairly persistent rain for central areas and in particular across
02:03the southeast as the next batch of rain arrives. And that's a frontal system wrapped around this
02:08area of low pressure that would bring a larger swathe of heavy rain for many areas on Sunday.
02:14So there is some heavier rain to come for a wider area of eastern England on Sunday,
02:19but you can find more details on that on our YouTube channel. Don't forget to subscribe.
