00:00Hello, good morning. Across the north and west it should be a dry and fine day. Plenty
00:04of sunshine to come throughout this afternoon and this morning. Across the south and east
00:08though we've got this weather front that's going to be sinking southwards through the
00:11day quite slowly. It's the legacy of yesterday's cloud and rain. That should clear away by
00:16this evening and behind it we get left with this north easterly wind that's going to be
00:21bringing quite a chilly feel to eastern coast throughout today and into Wednesday and in
00:25fact into Thursday as well. But for the time being we've got this weather front that's
00:29bringing that cloud and rain to southeastern areas. So it's quite a dull start across southeastern
00:33areas of England this morning. Elsewhere though there's more in the way of sunshine than we
00:37had yesterday and it will be quite a dry and bright day particularly for parts of Scotland,
00:43Northern Ireland and Northern England. Later on that brighter weather will spread into
00:46parts of the Midlands, North Wales, perhaps the north coast of South West England as well.
00:51And in the sheltered sunshine it's not going to feel too bad at all. Temperatures are likely
00:55to climb into the mid-teens across parts of South Wales. We could see 15 or 16 degrees
01:00as well as parts of the central belt that could see temperatures closer to 15 degrees
01:03later on in the day. There'll be quite a contrast though compared to the east to the west where
01:08this onshore breeze is going to bring that cold feel and I think underneath this cloud
01:12and rain across the southeast it's going to stay quite dull through much of the day. However
01:16that rain will finally clear away to the south through this evening leaving much of the UK
01:21with clear skies throughout tonight. So with the lighter winds across western areas that's
01:25where we'll likely see temperatures fall away quite quickly. So it's going to be a colder
01:29night tonight than last night. Over across the east where this onshore breeze continues
01:34to bring cloud perhaps the odd shower through tonight temperatures will hold up not a little
01:38bit higher. But rurally we could see a touch of frost, temperatures as low as minus three
01:43or minus four degrees but many towns and cities in the low to mid single figures. So I think
01:47you'll definitely notice a chillier start to the day on Wednesday but the sunshine should
01:51soon get to work as there will be plenty of it particularly across the west throughout
01:56Wednesday. So a similar day for western areas compared to today. However in the east we've
02:00got a bit more of that onshore breeze that north easterly wind and that's going to bring
02:05a bit more cloud particularly to part eastern areas of England. We could see a few showers
02:09and some of those showers could spread into parts of South Wales perhaps into parts of
02:14Dorset as well later on in the day. As it's going to be a colder start temperatures won't
02:19climb quite as high on Wednesday. Highs of around 11 or 12 degrees quite widely but locally
02:25in some sheltered sunshine it will still feel fairly pleasant. Looking ahead to Wednesday
02:30evening well it's going to be another clear and quite cold night. A greater risk of a
02:35frost for Thursday morning and it looks like we'll stay in a similar feel all the way into
02:39the weekend when it gets a little bit warmer but perhaps a bit more unsettled. Bye bye.
