00:00Hello, good evening. It should stay dry for many of us into the start of the weekend but
00:04across the south it's actually some very heavy rain to come and that rain has been affecting
00:09much of Cornwall throughout this afternoon. That will start to spread into many other
00:13southern counties of England, perhaps South Wales overnight. So some very heavy rain,
00:18potentially some tricky travelling conditions across the south coast through this evening.
00:21Further north though, it's going to be a very dry night, a clear one as well. So it's going
00:26to be another cold start to the day on Saturday. Lows down to minus 5 degrees in parts of Scotland
00:33and Northern Ireland once again. So you may be waking up to a frost if you're in the north
00:37and west but you'll also be waking up to plenty of sunshine. So it should be a good start
00:41across many northern areas to the weekend but cloud will thicken through the day, similar
00:45to how it has done through Friday. There's a risk of a few showers, particularly across
00:49coastal areas into Saturday. Across Wales and the Midlands it's going to be a cloudier
00:53day tomorrow. There'll be some outbreaks of rain as well on and off. And across the
00:57south coast it will turn a bit brighter into the afternoon but we could see a few showers
01:02breaking out. However, in any of those brighter spells it's going to start to feel a little
01:06bit warmer. Temperatures will be climbing much closer to where they should be for this
01:09time of year. Highs of 14, possibly 15 degrees along the south coast. So through Saturday
01:16evening we'll start to see some more persistent and heavier rain spread in from the south
01:20and east. So it's going to be quite a wet night for many areas of England, perhaps southern
01:25areas of Wales as well. The far north west should escape much of this rain. There is
01:29some uncertainty in exactly the western extent of this area of rain but I think at least
01:34Northern Ireland and western areas of Scotland should stay dry, perhaps the far west of Wales
01:39as well. However, underneath that cloud and rain it's going to be a very unpleasant night,
01:44some very heavy spells of rain. But as I said, it is turning much milder from the south and
01:48east. However, where it stays dry and clear, it's going to be another cold start to the
01:53day on Sunday. But again, it should stay fairly dry and bright throughout the day across the
01:58north and west. By contrast, across the east it's going to be a wet day. However, as we
02:03head towards the afternoon, this area of rain, it's wrapped around an area of low pressure
02:07and that will slowly start to push away into the North Sea. So it will turn a bit brighter
02:10in the afternoon across Wales and into the south west. And temperatures, as I said, will
02:15be much closer to average for the time of year. Highs of 11 or 12 degrees so the winds
02:19are a little bit stronger but it will start to improve. Now those temperatures will continue
02:24to rise into the start of next week but before then, we've still got some particularly cold
02:28nights to come and some further frosts. Keep up to date through the weekend by subscribing
02:32to us on YouTube. Bye bye.
