00:00Hello. Good morning. Welcome to your latest Met Office weather update. Some heavy rain
00:03still to come for the next few hours, but it will turn much drier from the west. That's
00:08because we've got high pressure building in from western areas for the time being for
00:13the end of the week. But ahead of that, we've still got the low pressure, which brought
00:16that heavy rain through yesterday. So, still some weather warnings in force for the next
00:20few hours across parts of England and Wales. There could be some localised disruption if
00:25you are travelling this morning. Once that rain starts to pivot away and clear away to
00:29the North Sea, behind it we'll see some heavy showers breaking out, this time across more
00:34north-eastern areas of the UK, parts of eastern Scotland and eastern areas of northern England
00:39as well. That's where there's a rain warning in force. However, across the west, a different
00:43story for much of Wales, western Scotland, western areas of northern England as well,
00:47where it will turn much drier and brighter. Probably, it will be a fairly fine and sunny
00:52end to the day here. Temperatures in the high teens, possibly the lower 20s in the south
00:57and east. A ridge of high pressure, as I said, building in through the rest of the
01:01day and into the evening. So, that will melt away much of the cloud through tonight. So,
01:04it's going to be a slightly fresher night tonight. Clear skies for many of us. So, that
01:08does mean it will also be a fairly bright start to Wednesday. So, temperatures falling
01:13away a little lower than last night. Rurally, we could be down as low as around 5 degrees.
01:18But I think it will warm up quite quickly with that July sunshine. So, the best of the
01:22sunshine is likely through the morning on Wednesday. Cloud will likely bubble up through
01:26the day. That could allow the odd shower to develop across parts of Wales and England,
01:30possibly across eastern areas of Scotland as well. But most of us should stay dry through
01:34Wednesday and particularly across the south coast, where we see the best of the sunshine.
01:39Temperatures could climb into the mid-20s, 25 degrees possible on Wednesday. Cloud is
01:44starting to thicken, though, from the west as we head into Wednesday evening as the next
01:48frontal system arrives for western areas. However, across the south and east, it looks
01:53like it should stay dry, bright and quite warm, at least for the next couple of days.
01:57Have a good day. See you soon. Bye bye.
