00:00Hello, good morning. There's a chance of some heavy downpours breaking out in the

00:03southwest later, but for most of us it should be another dry day. There's quite

00:08a lot of cloud around through today though, as we've got this northerly wind

00:11bringing in this cool air and cloud from the North Sea for many areas,

00:15particularly across eastern areas of Scotland and northern England. We can see

00:18some drizzly rain through the day as well. We could also see some drizzly rain

00:21continuing across parts of Wales. Still another fairly cloudy day here and

00:25across the south coast the chance of some very heavy downpours, perhaps

00:29thunderstorms as well, that could bring some localised disruption. So keep an eye

00:33on the forecast if you're in those areas through the day. Having said that, there

00:38is going to be some sunshine around, particularly for parts of the central

00:41belt because the temperatures climbing to the high teens, possibly the low 20s

00:44here, and for most of us will be around 17 or 18 degrees for today. So with the

00:50lack of sunshine that means it doesn't quite get as warm as it should do for

00:53this time of year. Through this evening this cloud and rain from the North Sea

00:57is going to continue to push into parts of eastern England, parts of eastern

01:00Scotland as well. So here we could see outbreaks of drizzly rain through the

01:04night and some of that rain and showers could push into the

01:07far southwest as well. But further north and west it should stay largely dry

01:11through tonight. So it could be another fairly fresh start tomorrow morning for

01:15some parts of rural Scotland and Northern Ireland for example. But here we

01:19will see the best of the sunshine through Saturday morning and I think

01:22it's a bit of a messy picture as we head into Saturday. We've still got low pressure

01:25pivoting around in the North Sea, continuing to bring this risk of heavy

01:29rain to some eastern areas of northern England and southern Scotland. And once

01:34again we could see some heavy showers across the far southwest parts of Wales

01:37as well. The far southeast though should stay fairly dry through the day and the

01:42far northwest as well. And here we'll see the best of the sunshine, the

01:46highest temperatures as well. Still only 18 or 19 degrees at best, which is a

01:50little bit below where it should be for this time of year. Looking ahead to

01:55Sunday though, we do see things turn a little bit more settled. That's because

01:59this area of low pressure that's been bugging us through much of the week

02:01slowly pushes up to the north of the UK and that will allow that high pressure

02:06to become a bit more dominant. But as we head to the end of Sunday and into

02:10Monday, the next day of low pressure is likely to arrive from the southwest. So

02:14the settled weather is unlikely to last for too long. But keep up to date with
