00:00Hello there, very good morning to you. It is an east-west split in exactly how it
00:05feels first thing today. Cold air is still in play across the east to provide a
00:10chilly start here, but further towards the west southerly winds are starting to
00:15bring in something a touch milder here. The joint factor between east and west
00:19though is that there are some fog patches around to provide some low
00:23visibility, quite dense in places, so do take care if you are about to step out
00:27or travel at all. Once the fog does clear across parts of England and Wales though
00:31and into eastern Scotland as well there will be some sunshine throughout the day
00:34to enjoy, but further towards the north and west the cloud is going to be
00:38building. There'll be some patchy outbreaks of rain for Northern Ireland
00:41into the Outer Hebrides and the Highlands as well. Temperatures here
00:45around 8 to 9 degrees Celsius, but with the cold air in play further east will
00:49be down towards 3 or 4 degrees Celsius despite that sunshine. There could again
00:54be some isolated mist and fog patches during the forthcoming evening and
00:58overnight, mainly now further towards the east and south. The winds will be
01:03certainly picking up in strength further towards the north and west. Gales
01:06developing around coastlines overnight as further outbreaks of rain push their
01:10way in. Temperatures here again will be holding up quite noticeably, so certainly
01:168 to 7 degrees Celsius. There will still be less of a frost around tonight
01:22compared to some recent ones, but can't rule out that localised spots in the
01:25south and east do manage to get close towards 0 degrees Celsius. The best of
01:31the brightness though, first thing on Monday, will be in southeastern areas
01:35once any isolated fog does clear its way off. The cloud though here will tend to
01:39build, so sunshine will turn hazier into the afternoon and this is all due to the
01:43rain band that's going to start slipping its way ever so slightly southwards,
01:47seeing some heavier pulses of rain at times. It's quite a blustery day for
01:52Northern Ireland and Scotland with widespread gusts here, but those
01:55southwesterly winds are now filtering in that much milder air, 11 to 13 degrees
02:01Celsius here. Quite dramatic increase in temperatures closer towards average for
02:06the time of year for England and Wales around 6 to 7. During the forthcoming
02:11week we're going to continue to see this north-south split in our temperatures
02:15with northern areas holding on to double-digit figures quite widely. It is
02:20worth noting though that with this rise in temperatures we are going to see a
02:23thaw of the snow that's been falling over the past week. That could cause some
02:27localised issues where it starts leading to surface water on the road, so it is
02:32worth taking care. But we'll have plenty more updates on what you can expect
02:35during the rest of the week on our YouTube channel and across social media,
02:39so do join us there. See you later, bye bye.
