00:00Very hot afternoon to come for much of England and Wales, but if you're not a fan of the heat
00:04It's not going to last into the weekend as a change is on the way and actually across many
00:10Northwestern areas it is considerably cooler than elsewhere
00:13It's definitely a drier and brighter day those parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland compared to yesterday
00:18But there's still a lot of cloud around here further south and east for much of England and Wales
00:24In particular across central areas of England and into southeastern areas of England
00:28It's a very warm or hot day indeed temperatures are likely to climb to 31 degrees
00:34Possibly even coming close to 32 degrees
00:36It's likely to be the warmest day of the year so far
00:40Cooler though where we do have this cloud further north and west there is a bit of a breeze actually up to the north and
00:45West so these are the temperatures compared to the July's average maximum temperature
00:50So you can see actually we're much closer to average even across western areas of Wales and into southwestern areas of England
00:56But where we do have that strong sunshine temperatures are a good six or seven degrees above average
01:03But that is all going to change as we head into the weekend
01:06However, that does mean we've still got quite a muggy night to come
01:09The rain will push further eastwards into parts of Northern Ireland Scotland some areas of West Wales southwest England seeing some drizzly rain overnight
01:17But there is going to be that muggy feel overnight with a bit more cloud around as well
01:22Temperatures will quite widely be in the high teens
01:24We could see temperatures not dip down much below 20 degrees across some areas of the southeast by tomorrow morning
01:31So another pretty warm start to the day on Saturday across eastern areas
01:35But this fresher weather is moving in as we progress through Saturday and that could bring some very heavy downpours in particular to parts
01:43The southwest but also some areas of Northern Ireland and northwestern England through the day
01:48So if you're in western areas through the day
01:50It's likely to be a bit of a different day tomorrow compared to today and in the east
01:54there'll be a bit more cloud around hazy sunshine and there is an
01:57Increasing chance of some showers as we head into the afternoon and temperatures because the sunshine won't be quite as strong will be lower
02:04But we've still got that humid feel across eastern areas turning much fresher though to the west
02:10You can see this clear these clear skies pushing into parts of Northern Ireland by Saturday afternoon
02:15And these are the temperatures compared to average on Saturday and you can see that actually widely
02:20We're much closer to average just three degrees above average
02:24Possibly though still across parts of East Anglia holding on to that heat into Saturday afternoon
02:30Now this area of rain through Saturday evening will push further eastwards bringing a risk of heavy showers
02:36Potentially some thunderstorms clipping the southeast coast of England on Saturday evening as well
02:41Now that will push away to the east through Saturday through Sunday morning and behind it
02:46It's actually going to be a fairly fine day, but definitely a much fresher day compared to today. See you soon. Bye. Bye
