00:00Good evening. After a fairly unseasonably windy day, things will get a little bit calmer
00:05across northern areas as we head into tomorrow, but across the south it's turning much wetter.
00:09That's because we've got this string of weather fronts set to move in through Friday. It will
00:14come and go across the south coast before it then takes centre stage Friday evening,
00:19could linger a little across the east on Saturday, and then we're into a northwesterly wind direction
00:24with heavy and blustery showers through the weekend. But for Thursday evening, we're still
00:29got low pressure centred up to the north. That's going to be bringing in fairly frequent
00:33showers across the far north and west of Scotland. Many areas of Northern Ireland, Northern England,
00:38Southern Scotland should stay fairly dry through the night, but it's across the south coast
00:41where this weather front arrives overnight tonight, pushing into much of the south coast
00:45of England, parts of South Wales as well. It will be fairly light, but there's going
00:49to be quite a lot of cloud around and there could be some heavier bursts. It's also introducing
00:53slightly muggier air, so temperatures in the mid-teens for some of us overnight here. Slightly
00:58fresher, though, where the skies do remain clearest across this central slither of the
01:03UK. And here is where there'll be the brightest skies tomorrow, some sunshine for Northern
01:07Ireland, Northern England first thing, and it should stay fairly dry and bright through
01:11the day here. Now, this rain will likely push away to the south coast by Friday lunchtime,
01:17but it will likely return again into Friday evening from the south and west. But actually,
01:22for much of Scotland, northern areas of England, it'll be a much calmer day than today out
01:27there on Friday, and there will be some showers around, but certainly not as many as we've
01:30seen through Thursday. So temperatures will be a little bit higher into the mid, possibly
01:35high teens, particularly across some eastern areas of Scotland and eastern areas of northern
01:39England, too. We could see 21 degrees on Friday. Then looking ahead to Friday evening, this
01:45band of rain will return and push into parts of central areas of England, most likely before
01:50it lingers across eastern coasts of northern England through Saturday morning. And then
01:55behind it, we've got spells of quite heavy, blustery and showery rain pushing in from
02:00the north and west. So there will be some clear skies around, but most of us at risk
02:05of seeing some showery outbreaks of rain by Saturday morning and temperatures again fairly
02:11mild for the time of year. But in any clearer skies, they could dip down into those single
02:15figures just because we do have fairly fresh air upon us, especially for July. And that's
02:20going to bring that fresher feel through much of the weekend, a mix of sunshine and showers
02:24for most of us throughout Saturday. As I said, we could see the rain linger for longer
02:28across parts of East Yorkshire, for example, but particularly we're going to see the most
02:32frequent showers across northern and western areas or expose that northwesterly wind and
02:38temperatures again a little below par for the time of year 18 or 19 degrees with plenty
02:43of cloud and those showery outbreaks of rain around for many of us. The winds slowly start
02:48to switch to more of a southerly as we look ahead to the start of next week. So things
02:52will slowly start to warm up, but you can find out more details on all of that on our
02:56YouTube channel. Bye bye.
