Transcript
00:00Good morning. Another fairly cloudy start to the day, particularly across northern areas.
00:05Some sunshine across the south, but there's a risk of some showers breaking out through
00:09this afternoon. Low pressures centred off to the east of the UK and wrapped around that
00:13low pressure, we've got rain still feeding into many northern areas, particularly across
00:17parts of northern England, Wales, the Midlands, where we could see some heavy showers breaking
00:21out this afternoon. It's been quite wet recently across northern areas of Scotland. Today's
00:26going to be a drier day. We've still got a northerly wind though, so temperatures across
00:30northern coast will still be capped down to the low to mid-teens. But we do see any shelter
00:35from that sunshine. 18 degrees in Glasgow, certainly warmer than it has been lately.
00:39And actually, with the best of sunshine across the south, 22 or 23 degrees once again. It
00:45should stay fairly dry for Wimbledon through Thursday. Into this evening, for most it should
00:51stay quite dry once again. There's still a continued risk of some showery outbreaks of
00:55rain across parts of Wales and the Midlands, where we've still got that unsettled weather
00:59lingering. And by tomorrow morning, we'll start to see a risk of showers threatening
01:04across the south. Actually, though, to the north, it's turning a bit more settled by
01:08Friday morning. That's because we've got a ridge of high pressure building in from the
01:12north and west. So with clearer skies, it's probably going to be a bit of a fresher start
01:16for northern areas on Friday morning. In the south, though, still fairly mild and humid,
01:22particularly where we've got that risk of some heavy showers. And the risk of showers
01:26continues for many southern areas, particularly the southwest through the morning into the
01:30southeast later on on Friday. Some of these showers could be quite torrential as well.
01:35Northerly winds still bringing that fresher feel to eastern coasts of Scotland and northern
01:40England. But in the west, where we get a bit more shelter from the wind and that high pressure
01:44building in with a bit more brightness, temperatures climbing towards the higher teens, still a
01:48little below par for the time of year, but a bit warmer and drier than it has been lately.
01:53Let's have a look towards the weekend. We've still got that high pressure building in for
01:58the start of the weekend, bringing us a fine start for most areas. But it's likely to turn
02:03a little bit more unsettled from the south and west by Sunday. Keep up to date with all
02:07the latest over the next few days by subscribing to our YouTube channel. See you soon. Bye
02:11bye.
