Transcript
00:00Good evening staying warm and sunny for many of us into Friday, but through this evening some further heavy
00:05Torrential downpours are at risk
00:07We still have a thunderstorm warning in force for central and eastern areas of England these areas of rain could bring
00:13Travel disruption spray on the roads and some hail as well as lightning through the first part of the night once they clear away
00:20Though it will turn much drier as we head into the early hours of Friday
00:23So clear skies for many areas, but we've still got some fairly humid and muggy air
00:28So it's still going to be quite a sticky night temperatures widely holding up in the mid-teens
00:33We could not dip down much below 20 degrees across past parts of eastern England a little bit cooler further north
00:40But still warmer here than it has been lately
00:43Now into Friday some wet weather will spread in from the north and west into parts of Northern Ireland
00:48Western areas of Northern Scotland in particular first thing the breeze will pick up as well
00:53And we could see some fairly heavy bursts towards lunchtime ahead of this a fairly dry and bright a day
00:58However, there is a risk of some heavy downpours across eastern England once again
01:03There's a further risk of thunderstorms here
01:04But we're not expecting them to be as widespread as we will have seen it through this afternoon
01:09Now for many of us as it is going to be another dry and sunny afternoon temperatures
01:13Once again, we'll be climbing into the mid to possibly high 20s 28 29 degrees possibly another 30 degrees on Friday
01:20But quite widely into the 20s turning fresher though
01:23Once this band of rain does clear away to the east now that rain will spread south and eastwards through Friday evening
01:30Pushing into parts of Wales Northern England and later into southeastern areas of England into Saturday
01:37But ahead of it, it should be a relatively dry evening across eastern areas
01:41And it will actually clear up quite nicely across the north and west. We've got that fresher air arriving by Saturday morning
01:48So as a result temperatures quite different quite a different feel by Saturday morning
01:52Temperatures dipping down much lower closer to this lower single figures for some areas of Scotland and Northern Ireland
01:57Still that humid feel though holding on in central and eastern areas as I said on Saturday
02:03There's some wet weather spreading into southern and eastern areas of England
02:06We could see some fairly heavy burst particularly into the afternoon across the south and east
02:11Elsewhere across Wales Northern England a pretty dry and bright afternoon or nice start to the weekend
02:17some showers though spreading into parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland these could be quite heavy and
02:22Blustery as well temperatures much closer to average by Saturday a little below average
02:27in fact for some areas of the north and west and a good
02:3110 degrees for some lower for some areas of central England for Saturday
02:35So definitely a different feel on the way to start the weekend and low pressure will be sticking around as we head into Sunday as well
02:42There's still be some drier and brighter weather
02:44But we're likely to see the next weather front arrive from the west
02:47Later on on Sunday now if you do want any more details on your full weekend forecast check out our latest update on YouTube
