00:00Hello, good afternoon. There is going to be a change to much fresher weather across the
00:05UK as a cold front is pushing south and eastwards across the UK. You can see that cold front
00:11on the latest satellite picture from this morning. That's this thicker cloud across
00:15north-western areas of the UK. There's a warm front ahead of that as well. That's creating
00:20a wedge of rain across the UK and that will be sinking south and eastwards through the
00:24day. It's driven by an area of low pressure. You can see many north and western areas have
00:29seen some heavy rain so far this morning. That rain will sink south-eastwards through
00:33the rest of the day into central parts of England and Wales. It will be fairly cloudy
00:37for most of us this afternoon in southern and central areas. Across the north, though,
00:41it's going to turn much drier and brighter for many areas. However, across the far north-west,
00:48the brightness comes at the expense of some heavy and blustery showers, potentially some
00:53hail and thunderstorms mixed in there as well. Now, ahead of this area of cloud and rain
00:58in the south and east, it will stay fairly dry and bright through much of the day as
01:02the temperatures here could still climb into the low 20s. But for most of us, we'll be
01:06in the mid-teens at best, with temperatures a good few degrees cooler across the north-west
01:12of Scotland. It's going to stay fairly fresh through the rest of the week. Now, this cloud
01:17and rain will sink into the south-east before it clears away to the far south-east through
01:20the night and it will turn much drier and clearer through the night. So, for many of
01:24us, it's going to be a dry and clear night, but a cold night. However, notice still across
01:29the north-west, showers are still going to be pushing in to similar areas with this brisk
01:34north-westerly wind. So, cloud cover will hold temperatures up a little bit more across
01:39the north-west, but for many areas, particularly where skies stay the clearest, we could see
01:43temperatures dropping down into the low single figures rurally. There is a risk of a touch
01:48of grass frost for some very sheltered spots. So, definitely a fresh start to the day to
01:53come tomorrow, but I think for most of us, it's going to be a fairly bright start, particularly
01:58if you cross the south and east. So, cloud will thicken through the afternoon. There's
02:02a risk of some showers here and there across the Midlands, parts of Wales, northern England,
02:06but I think the most frequent and heaviest showers will be further north and west into
02:10Northern Ireland and across the north and west of Scotland, where we could see some
02:15further thunderstorms and some hail, potentially some snow falling over the highest ground
02:20of Scotland as well. And so, because it's turning much colder, temperatures will be
02:24a good few degrees below average, 12 or 13 degrees at best in the north-west, 15 or 16,
02:30possibly scraping a 17 or 18 in the south and east in the best of the sunshine. So,
02:35if you are in any sheltered sunshine across the south coast, it's not going to feel too
02:38bad, but definitely cooler than it has been of late. Now, those showers are going to continue
02:44across north-western areas all the way through Wednesday evening and into Thursday. There's
02:47very little in the way of change on the way for the next couple of days. It will stay
02:51fairly dry and clear for many southern and central areas, but again, that will lead us
02:56into another fairly cool night tomorrow night. Make sure you keep up to date with all your
03:01latest forecasts and don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel. See you later. Bye-bye.
