00:00Hello there, welcome to your latest weather forecast from the Met Office. As we go through
00:04the next few days, low pressure remains in charge across the UK. That means that we will
00:10see some further rain, but also a little bit of sunshine from time to time. Winds also
00:15coming up from the south, so generally we'll be feeling a little bit less cold than it
00:19has been of late. So a little bit more detail as we end Good Friday. Main focus of the showers
00:26will be across more western and northern parts of the country. The further east you
00:30are likely to turn dry overnight, but that may allow a few mist and fog patches to form
00:35and in the countryside probably cold enough for a touch of frost. So a bit of a chilly
00:40start out there for most of us, but there will be some sunshine from the word go. Just
00:45the risk of a little bit of cloud and patchy rain just fringing the far east of Kent and
00:49East Anglia. But I think for a lot of England and Wales actually it should be largely dry
00:53with some bright spells. Main focus of the showers will be across Scotland and Northern
00:58Ireland where one or two could be on the heavy side. Temperature wise in the north ranging
01:03between about 11 to 12 degrees, in the south 14 or 15 degrees. So into the evening, a lot
01:10of the UK actually turning dry and clear. Exceptions down towards the far south west
01:15could see some heavy showers here. Difficult driving conditions for a time as they move
01:19through. They may well just begin to move in towards Northern Ireland to come at the
01:22end of the night. And at the same time some mist and low clouds just beginning to seep
01:27in off the North Sea. But under the clear skies it will be fairly cold, especially across
01:32Scotland could see a fairly widespread frost in the countryside. Easter day also signals
01:37us going into British summer time. So the clocks will go forward at 1am on Sunday morning.
01:43So don't forget to put your clocks forward as you head to bed. And for Easter day itself
01:48we start off quite murky across eastern parts but the cloud will burn its way back towards
01:53the North Sea. Although some North Sea coast could remain rather murky right throughout
01:57the day. Still the risk of some heavy showers across south western parts of England and
02:02a few also moving into other western districts. But for many central parts of the country
02:07actually quite a decent Easter day to come. And in the sunshine feeling pleasantly warm,
02:11highs reaching around 14, 15 possibly even 16 degrees. And then a quick look at eastern
02:18Monday. A little bit of a north south split developing. Many southern areas turning rather
02:23grey and damp. But hanging on to the largely dry and bright weather further north. But
02:27for all of us it will probably feel a little bit cooler than it will be on Easter day.
02:32Well you can find out more information about the weather where you are over the coming
02:35days on our website or our app. But for now from me take care and I'll see you again soon.
