00:00Hello, there. Welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. For the rest of
00:05this Easter weekend, it's looking pretty mixed across the UK. Low pressure is staying firmly
00:10in charge across the country. We will see some sunshine, especially across the northern
00:15half of the UK, where further south, another area of low pressure moves in to give us a
00:20very wet Easter Monday. Back to Saturday evening, and for most of us, we end the day on a fairly
00:26quiet note with clearing skies. Down towards the south-west, we will see some heavy showers.
00:31They will move towards parts of Wales and Northern Ireland towards the end of the night,
00:35and at the same time, some mist and low cloud just begin to move in across parts of East
00:40Anglia and Lincolnshire. But where we do see the clear skies, a pretty chilly night. We
00:45could see lows falling down to low single figures and certainly a touch of frost in
00:50the countryside. Easter Day also marks the beginning of British summertime, so the clocks
00:55will be going forward overnight, bringing us certainly some lighter evenings going forward.
01:02So for Easter Day itself, we start off fairly bright and sunny if you're up early enough.
01:07But out towards the east, that mist and low cloud will spread its way a little bit further
01:11westward. So come the afternoon, for many central and eastern parts of England, quite
01:15a grey one with some spits and spots of rain. For Wales and western England, actually we
01:20will continue to see some bright spells, but the best of the brightness really will be
01:24across parts of Scotland, Northern Ireland and the far north of Northern England. Here
01:29we will just see a scattering of showers, but I think most of us hopefully will see
01:33some good dry spells. In the sunshine, temperatures reaching around 14, possibly 15 degrees, but
01:40pretty disappointing along the eastern seaboard where we see this cloud and also easterly
01:45breeze. Into the evening, this band of rain across the continent will spread towards England,
01:51giving a pretty wet night here. It will eventually move towards Wales as we go into the small
01:56hours of Easter Monday. All the time, Scotland and Northern Ireland generally remain dry
02:02apart from the odd spit and spot of rain. Any clear skies here, a pretty chilly night
02:08to come with again a touch of frost in the countryside. So for England and Wales, Easter
02:13Monday is going to start off on a pretty wet note and for many it's going to remain that
02:18way during the course of the day. Some heavy rain in places, giving some poor travelling
02:22conditions. It does cheer up down towards Devon and Cornwall and along the south coast,
02:27but we could see some heavy showers developing here come the afternoon. So Scotland and Northern
02:32Ireland certainly seeing the best of the weather. Western Scotland seeing some sunshine. The
02:37odd shower can't be ruled out, but I think most should be dry on the Easter Monday. And
02:42in the sunshine, highs reaching the low teens, but under the cloud and rain, pretty disappointing
02:48for Easter Monday. If you want more information about the weather where you are over the next
02:54few days, you can always check out our website or our app and don't forget to follow us on
02:59social media. But from me, for now, take care and I'll see you again soon.
