00:00Hello, there. Welcome to your latest weather forecast from the Met Office. As we go through
00:04the rest of this Easter weekend, it's still going to remain pretty mixed. We'll see some
00:09sunshine at times, especially during the course of today. But with low pressure always close
00:15by, we'll see some further rain, especially as we go into Easter Monday, as well as some
00:19very wet weather developing across the southern half of the UK.
00:24Back to the here and now for the rest of Saturday afternoon. For many parts of England and Wales,
00:29we'll see some good amounts of sunshine, a few showers here and there, but the main focus
00:33of the showers will be across Scotland and Northern Ireland, where a few of these will
00:37be fairly heavy with the odd rumble of thunder. But in the sunshine, not feeling too bad for
00:43the time of year. Across the south, we'll be seeing highs of around 14 or 15 degrees.
00:49Into this evening, a lot of the UK seeing clearing skies. However, down towards the
00:54south-west of England, we'll see this spell of heavy rain move up that may well just move
00:58into south-west Wales and eventually move in towards Northern Ireland towards the end
01:03of the night. And at the same time, some misty low cloud will just spill in across parts
01:07of East Anglia and Lincolnshire. But where we do see the clearest of the skies, especially
01:11across Scotland, we'll see a touch of frost as we move into Easter Day. And Easter Day
01:16does mark the beginnings of British summertime, so the clocks will go forward tonight. So
01:21from Sunday onwards, certainly seeing some longer evenings.
01:26So for Easter Day itself, we start off on a very bright note across many central parts.
01:30But the misty low cloud across the east will gradually work its way eastward. So come the
01:34afternoon, a lot of England and Wales seeing a fair amount of cloud. And that cloud will
01:39be thick enough in places to produce some spits and spots of rain. The best of the brightness
01:43will be across Scotland, Northern Ireland and the far north of Northern England. But
01:48here, we will continue to see the risk of some showers. But in the sunshine, not feeling
01:53too bad. Once again, highs reaching around 14, possibly 15 degrees. But where that cloud
01:58is the thickest, especially along the eastern coast of England, it's going to be feeling
02:02fairly cool for the time of year. So then a quick look at Easter Monday. And for many
02:09southern parts of the UK, it's going to be a rather wet picture, some heavy rain in places.
02:15So keeping a close eye on that. Across the north, however, it does remain largely dry
02:20with the best of the brightness probably across Scotland. But I think for all of us,
02:24it will feel a little bit cooler than it will be on Easter Day. But if you want more information
