00:04Wherever you are, it's bitterly cold outside.

00:11more clouds towards the far south and further snow showers coming in from the north.
00:17Now, the risk of ice where you've seen snow over the last 24 hours
00:20and there will still be lying snow this morning, it's very slippery outside.
00:24Here's your warning zone through Wednesday.
00:27An additional 20cm of snow likely across the north-west and northern parts of Scotland.
00:32And we've seen lying snow further south, so again, that has frozen overnight.
00:38So through the morning, you can see where the snow showers are,
00:41coming in across Aberdeenshire, Caithness, Shetland as well as Orkney,
00:45pushing in across the north-west Highlands,
00:47the Western Isles seeing a mix of rain and snow,
00:50and snow showers moving in across Northern Ireland.
00:52They'll slowly move down towards Irish Sea coast,
00:55and you could see one or two down towards the far south-west of Wales first thing this morning.
01:00But notice more clouds across central southern parts of England and Wales.
01:04And this area of rain here is skirting towards the low countries,
01:08but as it engages with the cold air, we could see some rain turning to snow flurries
01:13along the far south coast there of England.
01:16So through the morning, we watch as the sun rises across many parts of the country.
01:22The clouds will break across the Midlands, East Anglia as well as southern parts of Wales.
01:26Hanging on to more clouds through the morning across southern counties of England though.
01:30Further showers which will cluster together on a strong wind across the far north of Scotland,
01:35feeling bitter here, an icy wind.
01:38And no snow showers continue to fire in across Northern Ireland
01:41through the North Channel towards Irish Sea coast.
01:45And through the day, sunshine anywhere from the Midlands, Wales, northwards.
01:49Eastern Scotland not doing too badly at all,
01:51but these showers will penetrate further inland through the day towards the Highlands of Scotland.
01:56Elsewhere, the cloud breaks through the latter part of the day across the far south-east
02:00as temperatures rise to around 1 to 4 degrees Celsius.
02:03But where you see the snow, temperatures will hold below freezing.
02:07And in fact, temperatures falling away very quickly through this evening and overnight.
02:13A widespread and severe frost yet again.
02:16And where you see snow showers, the risk of ice.
02:19Some just filing in across the western side of Wales through the night.
02:23One or two clipping the east coast of England as well.
02:26And further snow showers likely across Aberdeenshire as well as the far north of Scotland.
02:30One or two running down towards Northern Ireland.
02:33Inland, it's starry skies. The air is very cold.
02:38And we'll see a widespread and severe frost.
02:40Temperatures yet again will be minus 10 to minus 12 across the snowfields of Scotland.
02:46So that leads us into a very cold start to the day on Thursday morning.
02:51A few showers just running down this eastern side, clipping the western part of Wales.
02:56One or two just could just push down towards the west country.
02:59Further rain and snow showers also for Northern Ireland.
03:03And those snow showers pushing in across central and northern areas of Scotland.
03:07Elsewhere, it's sunny skies and temperatures struggling.
03:10Your outlook then through Friday.
03:12We could see a mix of wintry showers across Scotland on Friday moving towards more central parts.
03:18Elsewhere, it's dry with some sunny skies after a cold start to the day.
03:24Now, Friday into Saturday, we see this weather front move in.
03:28The winds will pick up some strength. Yes, it will be a mix of rain and snow.
03:32And then the air attempts to get milder through Saturday.
03:35It's really Sunday where we will see a change to less cold air.
