00:00Hello there, welcome to your weather forecast from the Met Office. As we go through this
00:04weekend for a lot of us there's going to be plenty of dry weather around but quite cloudy
00:08too. That's all to do with this area of high pressure. It will keep things settled as we
00:12go through the course of the weekend but it also will come with a fair bit of cloud. Also
00:17quite breezy for many eastern and southern areas and that will certainly take an edge
00:21off the temperatures too. So Friday evening you can see quite a lot of cloud out there
00:26first thing but a lot of this will melt away especially across many western and southern
00:30parts of the country. Still the risk of a few showers is coming in across the North
00:34Sea coast as we go through the course of the night. So here actually temperatures probably
00:38disdain just above freezing but the further west you go certainly the risk of a widespread
00:43frost developing especially for Scotland and Northern Ireland could see temperatures as
00:47low as minus 4 or minus 5 in a few spots. But compensation will be plenty of sunshine
00:52across many western and southern parts of the country as we start Saturday morning.
00:57But a cloud across the east will spread its way a bit further westwards as we go through
01:01the course of the day. So basically the afternoon a mixture of cloud and sunny spells for a
01:05lot of the country. Maybe hanging on to more in the way of sunshine for western Scotland
01:10and Northern Ireland as the afternoon goes on. But for many temperatures around 7 or
01:148 degrees but feeling fairly chilly especially where we continue to see this fairly brisk
01:19wind down towards East Anglia and the south east of England. Saturday evening most of
01:26the cloud across the west fading away so again allowing a widespread frost to develop here.
01:32Further east continue to see the risk of some showers coming in but again that will keep
01:36temperatures on the positive side as we start Sunday morning. And really Sunday is going
01:41to be a very similar day to Saturday. Lots of dry weather around still the risk of a
01:45few showers coming in from the North Sea. Maybe reaching the Midlands at times too.
01:51And overall quite a lot of cloud for a good chunk of England and Wales where the best
01:54of sunshine on Sunday for western Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland. Temperatures
01:59very similar 7 or 8 degrees quite widely across the country but across the North Sea and down
02:05the English Channel that will be tempered somewhat by that fairly keen breeze. And that
02:09settled spell does look like it will continue as we go into the next weeks. But you can
02:14find out more about that on our website or through our various social media channels
02:18but that's all from me for now.
