00:00Hello there, welcome to your weather update from the Meteorist. As we look ahead to the
00:04new working week, it's certainly going to start off on a fairly dry and settled note.
00:08But there are some changes afoot as we go through the week. At the moment, we do have
00:12this area of high pressure in charge across the UK, keeping the weather fronts out towards
00:16the west. But as we go through towards the middle of the week, we will start to see some
00:20bands of rain work their way into Scotland and Northern Ireland and eventually into England
00:25and Wales too, but probably taking until about Thursday for any rain to arrive into the far
00:29south-east corner of the country. And in a quick look towards Good Friday, at the moment
00:34it does look like things should turn drier and brighter once again out towards the west,
00:38maybe just hanging on to some cloud and damp weather across the east. Back to the here
00:43and now for the rest of this weekend. It's largely quiet across England and Wales, lots
00:48of clear skies and the clear skies will also spread their way northwards into Scotland
00:53as the night goes on. For Northern Ireland however, largely cloudy here, but with a fairly
00:58brisk southerly breeze, temperatures not falling much lower than 5 to 6 degrees. Elsewhere,
01:03certainly in the countryside, we will see a touch of frost and maybe the odd mist and
01:07fog patch too. But these mist and fog patches will quickly lift as we go into Monday morning
01:12and for a lot of Scotland, England and Wales. It's going to be a pleasant day really, lots
01:16of sunshine around. But for Northern Ireland, hanging on to the cloud here, best of any
01:21brightness really across the far north of Northern Ireland. But in the sunshine elsewhere,
01:26temperatures after the cold start reaching 13, 14, possibly even 15 degrees. Into the
01:33evening, very little changes really for a lot of the country. A pleasant end to the
01:37day. We will start to see some rain however, just creeping into the far west of Northern
01:42Ireland and also the Western Isles as the night goes on. So again, no problems here
01:46with temperatures staying comfortably above freezing. But elsewhere, again in the countryside
01:50particularly, we will see a frost. But that will quickly lift on to Tuesday and really
01:56Tuesday a very similar day. Lots of sunshine around, especially for England and Wales,
02:01also eastern Scotland too. Further west you are always more in the way of cloud and some
02:05splashes of rain but the rain not really amounting to too much and generally still some good
02:11dry weather to be had here. But again, in the sunshine further south you are, temperatures
02:16reaching 14, 15 degrees. And then on to Wednesday, we just see that rain band track a little
02:23bit further eastward. So for a lot of Scotland and Northern Ireland it will be grey and damp
02:27and that may just creep into parts of Northern England too. But for a lot of England and
02:32Wales, another dry day on Wednesday with the best of the sunshine down towards the southeast
02:36and again temperatures reaching 14 or 15 degrees. If you want to know more about the weather
02:43for the week ahead as we approach Easter, you can always follow us on social media or
02:47on our website. But that's all from me for now. I will see you again soon. Take care.
