00:00Hello there, welcome to your weather update from the Met Office. As we go through the
00:03week ahead, certainly looking less unsettled than the week just gone as high pressure starts
00:09to become in charge across the country. It does bring in a bit of an easterly breeze
00:13so all the time some North Sea coast will just be a bit chilly for the time of year
00:17but elsewhere plenty of sunshine around, best of which across the northern half of the country.
00:22The south from time to time will just see a few showers, especially during the middle
00:26of the week. So back to Sunday and for most of us it's going to be largely cloudy, best
00:32of any brightness down towards East Anglia, south-eastern England. Northern Ireland and
00:36the far north of Scotland also seeing some sunshine from time to time but here we may
00:40also see a few showers. In the sunshine feeling pleasantly warm, highs reaching 17, 18, possibly
00:4619 degrees. So heading into the evening, still some late brightness down towards the south-east
00:52but a lot of us remaining rather cloudy. The cloud will lower as the night goes on
00:57so could turn quite misty and murky, especially over the high ground and still the risk of
01:01some outbreaks of rain. So just be a bit wary of that if you are travelling late at night.
01:05But under the cloud, temperatures not falling much lower than 5-7 degrees. Exception, far
01:10north of Scotland where we will hang on to some clear skies. So here it may well turn
01:14locally chilly as we start Monday morning. But for most of us it's going to be a bit
01:17of a grey start, still some outbreaks of rain and drizzle in places. Northern Ireland
01:23and northern Scotland however will see some sunshine during the morning and then going
01:26into the afternoon, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, down into East Anglia, south-eastern England
01:31will start to see some sunshine too. So just like today, in the sunshine feeling pleasantly
01:35warm, highs reaching 18 or 19 degrees. Elsewhere temperatures around where they should be for
01:41the time of year but starting to feel a little bit cooler along some North Sea coasts. And
01:46then recapping the week ahead, as I mentioned it is going to be largely dry and settled.
01:50Still the risk of some showers in the south from time to time. Always the best of the
01:54sunshine across the northern half of the country and in the sunshine feeling pleasantly warm.
01:58We could see our first 20 degrees of the year over the next few days but always still cooler
02:03along some eastern coasts. Well you can find out more about the weather for the week ahead
02:07on our social media channels and don't forget to follow us on YouTube. But that's all from
