00:00Hello there, welcome to your weather update from the Metaverse. Well, as we go into the
00:04weekend and into next week, the weather is certainly settling down, especially compared
00:07to the week we've just had. Out there at the moment, we've got quite a bit of cloud across
00:12central parts, also some showers across eastern areas and these showers could potentially
00:15be quite heavy at times. Best of the sunshine across south-western England, Wales and western
00:21Scotland are feeling fairly pleasant here. After a bright start across Northern Ireland
00:25actually here, skies will turn increasingly hazy as this band of rain starts to approach.
00:30This rain will gradually spread its way eastwards as we go through the course of the evening.
00:34The showers across eastern England fading away, so many eastern areas actually getting
00:39away with a dry night. But out towards the west, this rain gradually working its way
00:43eastwards, turning increasingly lighter and patchy as the night goes on. But overall,
00:48a fairly cloudy damp night for many western areas. But under the cloud, a milder night
00:52than of late. But out towards the east, if we hang on to some clear spells, we could
00:56just see a touch of frost as we start Sunday morning. So, after potentially some early
01:01brightness across the east, most of us seeing rather cloudy skies as we go through the course
01:05of the morning. Still some outbreaks of rain, generally light and patchy and mainly focused
01:10across any high ground. But then going into the afternoon, some improvement across Northern
01:15Ireland and Scotland, some sunshine developing here, but that may well trigger some showers.
01:20But if you do see some sunshine, feeling fairly warm here, could see highs reaching
01:2317 degrees. But under the cloud, still feeling fairly disappointing really for this point
01:28in April.
01:31And having a look at early next week, we do have high pressure beginning to build in from
01:35Scandinavia. But it is going to bring in an easterly wind. Sea temperatures in the North
01:39Sea hovering around 7 to 9 degrees. So as the wind moves across these cool seas, it
01:44does cool down. So many coastal areas of Scotland and England, it's going to be feeling fairly
01:49cool at times and may also bring in some cloud off the North Sea from time to time
01:53too. But further west, especially as we go into Tuesday, plenty of sunshine developing.
01:58And where we do see the sunnier moments, could see highs reaching 19, possibly 20 degrees
02:02across north-western Scotland. So certainly the warmest spell of the year so far. But
02:06yeah, along that eastern coast, feeling fairly disappointing still for this point of the
02:10year.
