00:00Hello, there. Welcome to your weather update from The Meteorolist, where as we go through
00:03the next few days, it is likely to remain unsettled across the country. And after a
00:08brief colder interlude today, we will start to see some milder air once again return from
00:14the Atlantic. With the jet stream close by, it's always going to indicate that it is going
00:18to be a fairly changeable week ahead. That's not such the case out there at the moment.
00:24As we go through the rest of Bank Holiday Monday, for most, it's actually quite a sunny
00:28one. Still a few freezing fog patches lingering, especially for Northern Ireland. But for most,
00:34as it's the first Bank Holiday of the year, it's a fairly decent one out there, with temperatures
00:38in the south potentially reaching 10 degrees for most high single figures. But up across
00:43Scotland, still quite chilly here. Temperatures around 2 to 3 degrees, especially where we've
00:48still got some lying snow. So going into this evening, quite a cold evening to come. A white
00:53to red frost across many parts of Scotland, Northern England and Northern Ireland. Could
00:57see a few icy spots too. But as the night goes on, we will start to see this band of
01:02rain moving with a strengthening wind. So actually, temperatures will rise as the night
01:07goes on. So these are the temperatures we expect as we start Tuesday morning. So double
01:12figures in the south-west. Maybe still just hanging on to a frost up across the very far
01:18north-east of Scotland.
01:20So back to work for most of us tomorrow. In Scotland, it is another Bank Holiday, of course.
01:25But for most, it's going to be a pretty miserable start to Tuesday. Plenty of rain around. And
01:30as the afternoon goes on, another band of rain will move in from the south-west. This
01:35could be quite heavy, especially across parts of Wales, Northern England and Scotland. A
01:39warning is in force for parts of Scotland as we go into Tuesday afternoon. So some pretty
01:44miserable conditions. Could just see some localised flooding here too. But it will be
01:49fairly mild for most of England and Wales. Double figures as we go through Tuesday, and
01:54even in Scotland and Northern Ireland, it will still be feeling fairly mild. Maybe
01:58just hanging on to the cold air in the very far north of Scotland.
02:03So then looking ahead for the rest of the week, as I mentioned, it is going to remain
02:06fairly unsettled. Always the wettest weather in the west of the UK, and it will also be
02:12quite windy at times, especially as we go through Tuesday night and into Wednesday.
02:16You can always check us out on our social media channels for the latest information,
02:22and also our websites where all the warnings will always be up to date. But that's all
02:26from me for now.
