00:00Hello there, welcome to your weather update from the Met Office. As we go through the
00:04new working week it is all change with the weather as we start to finally say goodbye
00:08to areas of low pressure for the time being as this area of high pressure moves in from
00:13the continent. It will be a bit of a gradual process as the week goes on but we will see
00:17an increasing risk of night time frost and fog. The far west always still quite close
00:23to weather systems however so here we may see some further rain from time to time but
00:27for most it will be dry. However, that is not the case out there at the moment especially
00:32for Kent and Sussex. We do have some heavy rain here for the rest of this evening. A
00:36yellow warning is in force until midnight. Elsewhere across the UK we have a mixture
00:43of blustery showers across many western parts. Further east it will be drier with some clear
00:48spells and that is a perfect recipe for some mist and fog especially for Yorkshire, Lincolnshire
00:53down into East Anglia some of that fog could be quite dense. So if you are travelling on
00:58Monday mornings rush hour do allow a little bit of extra time for your journey as there
01:02could just be a few foggy patches around. Quite chilly too under the clear skies especially
01:07so for Scotland where we could just see a touch of frost. So Monday morning we still
01:13see some showers across many western parts of the country but for Scotland and Northern
01:18Ireland the showers should become very isolated as the afternoon goes on but for England
01:23and Wales actually they will become a little bit more widespread. In between some sunshine
01:28here but the best of sunshine really for Scotland and Northern Ireland with temperatures here
01:32reaching around 8 to 10 degrees further south around 10 to 12. Into Monday evening most
01:40of the showers generally fading away across the country still lingering on across many
01:44coastlines in the west but for most really as we go through the course of the night it
01:48will be a night of clear skies and also some mist and fog patches. That fog could become
01:53quite dense across parts of eastern England sinking into maybe central southern England
01:58and the Midlands too. So watch out for that if you are travelling overnight into Tuesday.
02:04In the clear skies it will also turn quite cold widespread frost in parts of Scotland
02:08and elsewhere a touch of frost can't be ruled out. And then Tuesday itself a rather grey
02:14misty murky day for parts of eastern England into the Midlands, central southern England
02:18so quite cold feeling here. Elsewhere once any mist and fog does clear actually we will
02:23see some decent spells of sunshine best of which probably for Scotland here max is reaching
02:29around 7 to 8 possibly maybe 11 down towards south west England. And really as we go through
02:36the week ahead very little changes really. Most of the rain will be kept away into the
02:42Atlantic with the main risk for us really is frost and fog and we always keep you up
02:46to date on any warnings on our website or through our social media channels. But that's
02:51all from me for now.
