00:00Pressure is building across the UK and what that means it's turning drier and colder with an increasing chance of frost and fog.
00:09However, through Monday evening still some showers out there.
00:12Irish Sea coast down towards the West Country, South East England, Western fringes of Scotland as well as Shetland.
00:18But many areas dry and you can see that fog reforming through the night becoming widespread and also dense in places.
00:25Murky also down towards the South East but we'll see more in the way of low cloud here.
00:30And across central and northern areas of Scotland some starry skies and that's where we'll see the lowest temperatures.
00:36So a murky end to the night and also very cold, fairly widespread and patchy frost across most parts of the country.
00:42And what that means if you're stepping out first thing on Tuesday morning, wrap up warm and also be aware that fog could be dense.
00:49So some tricky driving conditions, poor visibility.
00:52So through the morning this stubborn fog will linger on, certainly across southern parts of Northern Ireland, the Vale of York down towards the Midlands, Mid Wales.
01:00Further South East we're chasing cloud here, some holes in the cloud further East as well as North.
01:06So for Scotland you'll see some brighter skies through the day as that fog lifts across the southern parts of Scotland.
01:11West Wales also seeing some blue sky through the afternoon and holes in the cloud towards the West Country.
01:16But you can see there's a real mix out there and where you see that fog linger as well as that low cloud,
01:21temperatures really will struggle. It's going to be a dull day, a cold one.
01:25Temperatures below average for this time of year.
01:28Pretty much a repeat performance as we head to the middle part of the week.
01:31Although we can see more cloud just fringing the western side of the country.
01:34That's a weather front which will be stalling across these parts with high pressure remaining towards the East
01:41and that cold dense air just migrating from the North Sea towards the country.
01:46And what that means, temperatures will tumble. It's going to be colder through the middle to the latter part of the week.
01:51Then we see an easterly wind develop which could see one or two showers come in from the East.
01:57So the highest chance of seeing fog through the latter part of the week will be further West.
02:01Wherever you are, there'll be some good dry weather around but wrap up warm.
02:06The risk of fog, frost and some chilly old days. I'll see you later.
