00:00Hello there, welcome to your weather update from the Met Office. As we go through the
00:04rest of the weekend and into next week, the weather is set to remain unsettled as low
00:08pressure firmly stays in charge. Winds always coming in from the south, however, so that
00:14will keep temperatures on the mild side, both by day and also by night.
00:20Back to Saturday evening and we've still got some rain around across parts of Scotland
00:24and Northern Ireland. Some heavy showers also moving into parts of England and Wales, but
00:29in between there will be some drier and clearer intervals. Later on in the night, a more heavy
00:34and intense band of rain will then start to move into southern counties of England and
00:38South Wales. For most it will be a mild night, temperatures staying in double figures, however
00:43in Scotland we could just dip into single figures in a few spots.
00:49Sunday morning we'll see that heavy and intense band of rain gradually work its way northwards
00:53across parts of England and Wales. We could see some hail, some thunder and also some
00:58localised flooding in places, so do take care if you are out and about.
01:03Through the afternoon that rain will continue to track its way a bit further northwards,
01:07weakening a little bit as it does so, but a Met Office yellow warning is in force for
01:11much of Sunday and the early hours of Monday across parts of England and Wales. It will
01:18be a mild day though, with temperatures reaching 17 or 18 degrees in a few spots.
01:24After a brief sunny and dry interlude for some in the afternoon, some further heavy
01:28and thundery showers then return from the south as we go into the evening. All in all,
01:34Sunday evening will be an unsettled one for a lot of the country.
01:38The heavy and intense rainfall should clear overnight into Monday, but behind it we'll
01:43see a day of sunshine and showers for most, but for most temperatures staying on the mild
01:48side. If you want more information about the weather where you are, you can always check
01:51us out on our website or through our various social media channels, but that's all from
01:56me for now. Take care and I'll see you again soon.
