00:00Hello there, welcome to your latest weather update from the Metaverse, where as we go
00:03through the next few days it remains pretty changeable across the country and it's all
00:07courtesy of an area low pressure which is not going to go very far over the next few
00:11days. Note the tightly packed ice bars across the northern half of the country during Sunday
00:16indicating it's going to be pretty blustery, especially for the time of year.
00:20Back to Saturday evening and for many southern parts of the country we end on a fairly quiet
00:25note with some clearing skies. Northern areas seeing some further showers being blown in
00:29on that fairly keen wind and for Orkney and the far north of Scotland actually the rain
00:33persisting through most of the night. But thankfully for Shetland it should start to
00:38turn a little bit drier. For most of us temperatures overnight stay in double figures.
00:44So we start Sunday on a fairly bright note across a good chunk of England and Wales where
00:49the cloud will bubble up as the day goes on just limiting the sunshine somewhat into the
00:53afternoon. Northern areas continuing that mix of sunshine and scattered showers and
00:58for Orkney and the far north of Scotland this rain persisting through most of the day.
01:02But thankfully for Shetland a much better day compared to Saturday with a mix of sunny
01:06spells and scattered showers. In the sunnier moments across the south feeling fairly warm
01:11highs reaching around 22 to 23 degrees. So we end the weekend on a fairly quiet note
01:17across the south with some clearing skies once again. Showers continuing further north
01:21and still got this area of rain across the very far north of Scotland and that will continue
01:25right throughout the night along with that fairly keen wind. So once again temperatures
01:31for most of the UK staying in double figures. Could just see the odd spots across England
01:36and Wales where the skies are clearest just dipping into single figures. But for most
01:41we start the new working week on a fairly bright note. Still that area of rain across
01:45the very far north not really going very far as the day goes on and then we've got this
01:49next area of cloud and rain just spreading across parts of the country as we go through
01:53the course of the day. So I think by the afternoon best of the driest and the brightest
01:57weather across the very far south of England. Some parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland
02:01also seeing some brighter spells and in any brightness we will see highs just climbing
02:06into the low 20s but under the cloud and rain probably feeling a little bit disappointing
02:11for the first week of July. And then looking ahead as we go into the rest of the week and
02:18for most actually staying pretty changeable. Further rain at times could see some heavy
02:21rain at times especially during Tuesday and Wednesday keeping a close eye on that. And
02:26for most of us temperatures staying around average for the time of year but in any sunshine
02:31it should feel pleasantly warm. But you can find out more about the weather where you
02:35are on our website or you can check out our social media channels for the latest information
