00:00Hello, the summer sunshine will be much more widely felt as we head through the end of
00:05the week and towards the weekend as that cloud finally pushes its way back to the North Sea
00:10coast. However, through Thursday evening, we've got a rinse repeat of previous evenings
00:14as it pulls westwards towards western areas of the UK overnight, bringing many areas another
00:20cloudy but dry night. Now, there will be a few more holes in the cloud overnight and
00:26particularly a large clearer skies across northeastern Scotland, and that's going to
00:30allow our temperatures to fall down a little lower here. So we could see a touch of air
00:34frost by Friday morning across the far northeast. But for many of us, it'll be a similar start
00:38to recent mornings. The difference will be, though, that that cloud will lift up and break
00:43up much more readily than it has done so far this week. And that means by lunchtime, much
00:49of the UK will be under clear blue sky. So plenty of warm and quite strong sunshine through
00:54Friday afternoon. However, not for absolutely everywhere across the east coast. At the coast,
01:00it will still feel cooler and the cloud will linger through much of the day. So temperatures
01:04again still cap down towards 12 degrees. Further west, though, we're still close to close to
01:11average or a little bit above. That will feel a little bit cooler across parts of Wales
01:15and the southwest than it has done through Thursday. Then through Friday evening, we'll
01:20see that northeasterly breeze drag in cloud once again, but it's not going to be as much
01:25as we've seen recently. So for the likes of East Anglia, Lincolnshire and into northeastern
01:30areas of England, we'll continue to see that cloud pushing in. But many other areas are
01:34going to stay clear and dry. We could see the odd touch of drizzle across the far northwest
01:40of Scotland, however. But with those clear skies across the country, we'll see temperatures
01:46dipping down quite widely close to low single figures. That's because we've not got particularly
01:51warm air mass at the moment. So when the sun does go down, it can chill off a little bit.
01:56So a chillier start for some of us to start on Saturday, but the sun will get to work
02:00quite quickly once again. We've got high pressure in charge throughout the weekend. It's the
02:06same high pressure we've had through much of the week. It's centred to the northwest
02:09of the UK, and that's why we've got this north or northeasterly breeze. It won't be quite
02:14as strong through the weekend, however, and that means we won't see quite as much cloud
02:18through the mornings and it will break up and lift up very readily into the afternoon.
02:23So a good deal of summer sunshine out there through Saturday and the rest of the weekend
02:27too. However, it will be slightly cloudier across the far north of Scotland and therefore
02:31a little bit cooler. However, for many of us, temperatures will climb up to around average
02:36in the high teens or low 20s through Saturday. If you're interested in any more information
02:43over the weekend forecast that ends the half term, then make sure you check out our weekend
02:47forecast on YouTube. Otherwise, that's all for me and I'll see you later.
