00:00Hello, it is staying mild across the UK through the rest of the week but further
00:04unsettled weather will push in to northern areas and that's because we've
00:09got this string of weather fronts pushing in from the Atlantic affecting
00:13the north and as we head through the rest of the week we'll see a sequence of
00:17these fronts bringing cloud and rain but notice high pressure to the south
00:21shifts up to the north through the weekend and by Sunday it will become
00:26more widespread across the UK but back to Wednesday evening and Thursday we've
00:32got that cloud across the north and the rain too across northern England and
00:36Scotland as well as Northern Ireland now this will be quite heavy at times
00:40through the night particularly across the Western Isles and Highlands where
00:43total accumulations will start to build up overnight further south it's going to
00:49be a cloudy and mild night some clear spells across the southeast could make
00:54for a bit of a chillier start to Thursday morning but for many it will be
00:59feeling quite mild out there to start the day now quite cloudy and damp across
01:04northern areas very first thing but that will brighten up and dry up too and the
01:09rain becomes more restricted to just northern areas of northern and western
01:14areas of Scotland we could see the odd shower developed by the afternoon across
01:18Wales and the southwest but these will be quite light and fairly short-lived
01:22they shouldn't bring you too much trouble but by the by the afternoon the
01:27rain across the Highlands and Western Isles could be build up to totals in
01:31excess of 50 millimeters so there could be a little bit of disruption on the
01:35roads traveling out there on Thursday evening it's going to be a milder day
01:40than Wednesday on Thursday however for the whole of the UK highs of 12 or 13
01:46degrees which is much higher than average for the time of year so you
01:49might not feel the benefit particularly if you're across a western area as there
01:53will be quite a noticeable breeze out there and through Thursday evening the
01:57winds will start to pick up across the north as we see a band of quite blustery
02:02showers sink southwards through Scotland through Thursday evening drier further
02:08south and that rain as it does arrive into Northern Ireland and parts of
02:12Northern England will turn to more drizzly rain and mainly restricted to
02:16just the high ground parts of the Pennines and Lake District in particular
02:20as well as Snowdonia as well so for many quite a dry night particularly turning
02:26drier across Scotland and Northern England as we head through Friday
02:30compared to Thursday but for all it will be a another mild night frost free across
02:37the country on Friday morning now we'll see some bright weather to start on
02:42Friday in places particularly across Scotland Northeastern England as well as
02:46parts of the south coast as too but it will soon cloud over across those
02:52northern areas as we see the next band of rain arrive into the West it looks
02:56like it'll be more drizzly less of the heavier stuff but still rather cloudy
03:01under there the sunshine will continue across the south and with highs of 11 or
03:0512 degrees it'll feel quite pleasant in any sunshine in these areas then through
03:12Saturday it'll be a fairly similar day to Friday plenty of cloud and rain but
03:16still feeling mild turning chillier and brighter for Sunday though I'll see you
03:21later
