00:00Hello, welcome to the latest. Now the fog is finally starting to clear but it will
00:05stay quite cloudy and quite cold through the weekend. The reason it's quite so
00:11cold is cold air from Scandinavia is being pushed in on a strong easterly
00:15breeze through the weekend and notice we've also got this weather front lying
00:19to the northwest of Scotland as well. So taking a closer look at Friday evening
00:26some fog could persist for South Wales and the southwest but elsewhere it'll be
00:31a cloudy night and the easterly breeze should start to lift up any of that fog
00:36in the southwest by Saturday morning. It'll also drag in some showers to
00:41eastern coasts. So a cold feel by Saturday morning we could see a few
00:46pockets of frost for the southwest of Scotland and some southern counties of
00:50England too but it won't be as widespread as previous night. So a cloudy
00:56day for most of us on Saturday. The showers will persist across eastern
01:00coasts perhaps reaching parts of the Midlands through mid morning and
01:05mid afternoon. We'll see some more persistent drizzle from that weather
01:09front across the Western Isles and parts of the Highlands throughout Saturday and
01:13for most it'll feel cold. So these are the actual temperatures around seven or
01:18six degrees but take a look at the feels like temperatures were closer to two or
01:24three degrees and it could be feeling closer to freezing across eastern coasts
01:28of England and Scotland so certainly a chilly feel. And through Saturday night
01:34it will continue to feel cold. These showers will persist across parts of
01:39Lincolnshire and southeastern Scotland as well as the Aberdeenshire coast too.
01:43We'll also see clouds start to thicken across southern counties bringing some
01:48drizzle here. So for most a frost free night apart from where we see the clear
01:52spells in northwestern parts of Scotland where it could get down to around minus
01:57three degrees there's also a risk of frost for parts of Northern Ireland as
02:01well on Sunday morning. So a bit of a mixed picture to start Sunday morning
02:05but for most of us it's going to be another cloudy day. The showers will
02:11continue across northeastern areas and you'll notice that will could be some
02:15flicks of snow across the high ground of northern England and parts of
02:19Scotland through Sunday. Relatively dry across many central and southern areas
02:24but quite cloudy and again feeling quite cool. So here's the actual temperatures
02:30around seven or six degrees similar to what you'll see for Saturday however
02:34it's going to feel that much colder. So close to zero even feeling below zero
02:41across the eastern coast with a slightly stronger easterly breeze so
02:45certainly a cold feel for the weekend. Now next week it's going to get that
02:50much colder so a greater risk of overnight frost and perhaps some lower
02:55level snow showers for northeastern areas. I'll see you later.
