00:00Hello, it's going to turn brighter throughout the day for many of us and it will be a cold
00:05night tonight as those dry spells become a bit more widespread. But so far today there's
00:10been quite a lot of rain across the country. This is the radar from so far this morning
00:14so you can see there's been some quite heavy bursts out there. That's been brought by this
00:17area of low pressure that's lying out to the east of the country. It's got these occluded
00:21fronts that have been bringing the rain throughout the day so far. However, things will improve
00:27through the day. That low pressure moves off to the east and then by Wednesday morning
00:31we're in this interlude, a dry interlude between weather fronts. So that means there'll be
00:35quite a lot of dry and fine weather around on Wednesday. It won't last too long, though,
00:40however, as this next frontal system arrives from the west, bringing some quite heavy rain
00:45through Wednesday night and through much of Thursday. It does, however, bring with it
00:50some milder air. So that means that temperatures will slowly rise throughout the rest of the
00:56week, but not so far as temperatures have been quite cold so far this morning across
01:01Scotland and northern England. It was quite a frosty start and there is an ice warning
01:06in force throughout this afternoon for eastern areas of Scotland. But there will be plenty
01:10of dry weather on out there through much of the afternoon for northern England and Scotland.
01:16But across southern areas will stay largely cloudy throughout the day. Some sunny spells
01:20coming through by the afternoon in the southwest, but some drizzly rain still continuing in
01:25the southeast. And for all of us, it will feel cold, particularly on the east coast
01:31where there's an onshore breeze. And then it will be another cold night tonight, a colder
01:36night than last night. In fact, with clear spells becoming more widespread and a widespread
01:42frost developing, we could be down as low as minus eight by tomorrow morning in parts
01:46of rural Scotland. But many towns and cities also seeing a frost with temperatures dropping
01:51down below minus one or two degrees even into parts of the southeast. It could be a
01:56bit of a cold, frosty start on Wednesday, but there will be quite a lot of dry weather
02:02and sunny weather, in fact, for a lot of the day for many northern and eastern areas of
02:06the country could see some mist and fog still lingering through much of the morning across
02:11parts of the southwest of England and South Wales as well. And then throughout the day
02:15across the west, we'll see cloud thicken as that frontal system arrives, bringing with
02:20it the heavy rain and some quite gusty winds as well. Under that cloud and rain, temperatures
02:26are beginning to rise by tomorrow afternoon. So 12 or 10 degrees in parts of the Scilly
02:31Isles and Cornwall and quite a contrast across eastern areas closer to zero across parts
02:37of northeastern Scotland. So still very cold through much of the day. But that does mean
02:42we hold on to a bit more of the sunshine throughout Wednesday. And then Wednesday evening is when
02:47that frontal system starts to move further west, further east and bring some heavy rain
02:51to Northern Ireland through rush hour. So there is a warning in force throughout Wednesday
02:56evening. And then that rain then pushes further east, bringing heavy outbreaks of rain to
03:00parts of Wales, the southwest of England, as well as southwestern Scotland. And because
03:05of that, there are more rain warnings in force. So if you do live in these areas, it's worth
