00:00Hello. Change is afoot as unsettled weather is expected for many of us through this weekend.
00:07And on Thursday evening, that unsettled weather will start to arrive across southern areas
00:11as outbreaks of rain that could be heavy and possibly thundery push through southern counties
00:16overnight. Across the far north-west, Northern Ireland, the Western Isles too, cloud will
00:22thicken overnight. You could see the odd outbreak of rain here. But elsewhere, across much of
00:27northern England, Scotland and central England and Wales, it'll be a dry and largely clear
00:33night. Temperatures will dip down into single figures once again, though it won't be quite
00:38as chilly as it was last night. So a chilly but bright start for many of those central
00:44and northern areas of the UK. Elsewhere, though, across the south where we see early showers,
00:49it will tend to brighten and dry up, although the odd shower could linger across parts of
00:54the Midlands into Friday afternoon. Across Northern Ireland and the Western Isles, it
00:59will turn cloudier and wetter, with rain becoming more persistent through the afternoon. Further
01:06west where we see that drier weather, it will feel relatively warm in the sunshine, temperatures
01:11widely in the low 20s and possibly feeling a bit humid across the far south-east as temperatures
01:17touch the higher 20s. So through Friday evening, much of that warm and clear weather will continue,
01:24so some good late sunshine to end on Friday for much of Scotland and England and Wales.
01:29But for Northern Ireland and the western areas of Scotland, it will turn wetter as heavy
01:34rain continues into Saturday morning. The winds will pick up around this heavy rain
01:41too, so it could be quite a breezy night across more north-western areas. Through the rest
01:46of Saturday, that heavy rain is going to continue to push in through north-western areas and
01:51there is a weather warning for rain in force for parts of north-west Scotland and Northern
01:56Ireland too. Humid air across the east could bring a risk of thunderstorms as well. And
02:02through Sunday, there's a continued risk of these fronts pushing heavy bands of rain across
02:07the country. So if you've got plans this weekend, it's worth keeping an eye on the forecast
