00:00Hello there. Although Sunday got off to a fine start for some of us, others have certainly
00:05seen some heavy downpours to kick off the day. We've seen this on the latest radar sequence,
00:10heavy rain pushing across Northern Ireland and into Scotland, the south east of England
00:16being the area that stayed the driest and will continue to do so throughout the rest
00:20of Sunday as well. After the wet starts, Northern Ireland will see a much drier and brighter
00:24afternoon but the rain continuing across northern areas of Scotland pushing towards Orkney.
00:30Some sunny spells for Wales and England with the isolated shower. While you're in the sunshine
00:34though, it will feel pleasantly warm with highs of 26 degrees Celsius thanks to the
00:38winds coming up from the south. It will remain rather breezy across north east Scotland but
00:44the winds will also strengthen across Irish sea coasts as we see this next pours of rain
00:48come up overnight. This could be heavy in places with the risk of thunderstorms for
00:53parts of England and Wales. With the winds continuing to come up from the south, this
00:57is feeding in some rather warm air so for many it will be a muggy and perhaps uncomfortable
01:02night with temperatures not dropping much below 15 or 16 degrees Celsius. So much like
01:08Sunday morning, Monday morning will also be a wet start for areas of Scotland as this
01:13area of rain continues to push northwards. Sunny intervals follow on behind for Northern
01:17Ireland, England and Wales. Still the chance of an isolated shower developing which could
01:22be heavy but these will generally be hit and miss and many may get away with a fine
01:27day. Where we'll see that sunshine coming through again, seeing highs of 27 degrees
01:32Celsius. But you'll just notice that a more persistent band of showers is already beginning
01:37to push into south west England and Wales and this is a continuing feature through the
01:41coming week. Rain and showers will be heavy at times with the risk of thunderstorms but
01:46there should be some drier and calmer interludes in there as well. You can keep up to date
01:51with all the details though as we move throughout the coming week by following us on social
01:55media and of course we'll see you again here soon. Bye bye!
