00:00Hello there. Whilst we're ending Sunday on a fairly calm note, it will quickly turn unsettled
00:05again into the start of next week. It's all thanks to the jet stream, this ribbon of fast
00:11flowing air high up in the atmosphere that's going to be driving weather fronts over towards
00:15the UK. These will be bringing outbreaks of rain and accompanied by some fairly strong
00:20and gusty winds into the middle part of next week. For now though, a bit of a quieter theme.
00:27The odd shower for parts of northern Scotland but many other areas will be staying dry with
00:32clear intervals developing overnight and underneath these a few mist and fog patches may form
00:38across Wales and central southern England. The temperatures will also tumble away a bit
00:43down to 6 or 7 degrees in towns and cities but dropping lower than this in rural locations.
00:49The cloud will then begin to build across Northern Ireland and Scotland as we move into
00:53Monday morning, the rain pushing its way through as well. As it does so, winds will
00:59begin to strengthen with gales across coasts and over the hills. For England and Wales
01:04though, Monday will be a fairly fine day with some bright spells, perhaps a little thicker
01:09cloud pushing its way into Devon and Cornwall later on but for many temperatures will be
01:14up by a degree compared to Sunday with highs of 19 Celsius. Cooler though underneath that
01:19cloud and rain in the north west. The rain will continue to be a feature into Monday
01:24evening so perhaps some spray on roads during the evening rush hour. Remaining dry for England
01:30and Wales but as we move into Tuesday that band of rain is going to push its way south
01:35eastwards so it will turn damper across other areas as well. The winds though coming in
01:41from a south westerly direction so temperatures will be around if not slightly above average
01:45for the time of year. You can keep up to date with all of that and what is heading
01:49our way throughout the full week by following us on social media and we'll see you again
01:54here on the app or on YouTube soon.
