00:00Good afternoon. Now, the fog is starting to clear very slowly across the UK and there

00:06will be a bit more brighter weather over the weekend. But for now, looking at the latest

00:11satellite picture for Friday, we've got a lot of cloud across the UK and fog in many

00:17central areas. Now, this easterly breeze driven by the high pressure will start to lift that

00:23through Friday afternoon, but it will remain pretty cloudy out there for much of the UK.

00:28We'll see some spots of rain and drizzle across high ground and a few showers being pushed

00:34in across eastern coasts. With that easterly breeze coming off the North Sea, quite a chilly

00:39feel for many areas. But in any of the sunshine across Northern Ireland and in the southwest,

00:45highs of nine or ten degrees, so a little bit warmer than yesterday. This evening, we'll

00:52see some low clouds linger across South Wales, the southwest, so some fog could return for

00:58a time. But for many, many, it will be a less foggy night, but quite cloudy for most

01:04of us. Some showers still pushing into eastern areas of England and Scotland, but some clear

01:10spells for southern and central Scotland as well as parts of the southwest. And that will

01:15allow a few pockets of frost. However, there will be less scraping of any cars to be done

01:21on Saturday morning than you might have had to do this morning. So a brighter start for

01:26some areas, but most areas quite a cloudy start to the weekend and it'll stay fairly

01:31cloudy throughout Saturday. Less of the mist and murk around, but more of those showers

01:36pushing in to eastern areas and perhaps into parts of the Midlands through Saturday afternoon.

01:42Now, we've got a stronger easterly breeze through Saturday. So although the temperatures

01:47show around seven degrees, the mid single figures, it's going to be feeling closer to

01:53the low single figures, closer to two or three degrees and perhaps close to freezing

01:58across the actual eastern coasts. Into Sunday, we'll stick with that cool feel as we still

02:06get this cold air being dragged in from the east. However, some milder air could come

02:11up to the south, but that will generally just bring more cloud to more southern areas. And

02:17into next week, it's staying cold, even colder overnight. So a greater risk of some further

02:23overnight frosts and perhaps some snow showers pushing into northeastern areas. I'll see
