00:00Strong sunshine in the forecast through the rest of this week across the bank
00:04holiday weekend and even beyond. Now that does mean some high UV levels and burn
00:10times will be even quicker along the coast with the reflection of the Sun on
00:14the sand and the sea. Now this settled weather is all courtesy of an area of
00:18high pressure which extends from the Atlantic. Notice though just lurking to
00:21the north of the UK blue colors representing some colder air and this
00:26will slowly encroach as we head through the weekend across the far north.
00:29And the reason why, notice this cold front just extending from the northwest
00:34down towards Scotland through Saturday. Stronger winds behind it and also some
00:38cooler air introducing more cloud through the beginning of the weekend
00:42across the far north even so I still see some settled conditions as well as some
00:46sunshine. And through Wednesday evening it's a sparkling evening and a clear
00:52night away from eastern counties where this low cloud will drift across eastern
00:56and central parts of England. An onshore breeze across East Anglia but clear
01:01skies and a light wind for Scotland allowing temperatures to dip close to
01:05freezing in the glens of Scotland. So a chilly start to the day come Thursday
01:09morning but it will be bright with some blue sky and sunshine. Now through the
01:13day this cloud could be a bit stubborn first thing but it will break as it
01:16extends towards eastern parts of Wales. So some sunshine coming through here. At
01:21the same time slowly cloud will roll in across Northern Ireland, a slow process
01:25but by lunchtime you can see where it is and moving towards Belfast through
01:29the afternoon. Scotland will have a lovely day with sunny spells and
01:33sunshine also for West Wales, East Anglia as well as the southeast but with this
01:37onshore breeze feeling cool along the coast. Inland though temperatures
01:41typically 19 to 22 degrees Celsius possibly 19 for Edinburgh and a fresh
01:47breeze across the far north of Scotland keeping temperatures here the low teens.
01:50Now through Thursday evening the cloud will come and go yet again most places
01:54will be dry. Again some clearer skies allowing temperatures to fall away
01:58across Scotland and quite a breeze coming in across the channel here and
02:02that will be a feature of the weather through Friday across these parts. Inland
02:06then across the north again temperatures dipping down to low single figures and
02:10later on more clouds across the western side of Scotland. Even the odd spot or
02:14two of rain can't be ruled out here but generally on Friday it's another fine
02:19day. The cloud again breaking up allowing for some lovely sunshine to come
02:22through. The cloud extends across the far north of Scotland through the
02:26afternoon but inland a fine day with sunny spells temperatures 19 to 22
02:31degrees Celsius. So let's have a look at the outlook through Saturday and into
02:36Sunday. This week where the frontier tends to clear off the scene cooler air
02:40on Sunday across Scotland but eventually that milder air wins yet again as it
02:44pushes ever eastwards pushing that cold air towards the North Sea. High pressure
02:49then centered towards the northwest of the UK into a Monday with a bit of a
02:54breeze towards the south. So your outlook through Saturday it's fine and dry with
02:59some sunshine more clouds across the far north and west through the day but
03:03temperatures in the sunshine the high teens if not the low 20s. More cloud
03:07across Scotland and Northern Ireland on Sunday but even so some sunshine coming
03:12through further south and we'll see temperatures here peak at around 23
03:15degrees Celsius and a mostly fine day with bright or sunny intervals on Monday.
