00:00Hi there. Some big clouds developing out there at the moment and those clouds will give heavy
00:05showers in places. Low pressure keeping things really unstable as far as the atmosphere is
00:11concerned across much of the UK. Showers for most but a ridge of high pressure is moving
00:17in from the west towards the end of the day so that will help to kill off some of those
00:21showers from the west. But really it's a case of sunny spells and showers for the vast majority
00:27throughout the afternoon. The heaviest of the downpours in the south could give hail and
00:32thunder. Some of the showers have become maligned to bring longer spells of rain especially through
00:36southern and south-east parts of Scotland and north-east England for example. But eventually
00:41those drier and brighter conditions start to arrive from the west. In any sunshine away from
00:48the showers 19 Celsius pleasant enough but feeling cool in the far north-east especially where we've
00:54got a brisk wind for the northern isles the north-east of Scotland. And then the showers
01:00increasingly confined through the evening to central and eastern Scotland, eastern England.
01:04A drier and clearer slot moves across the country from the west overnight. Eventually that arrives
01:11into the east. Central parts and south-eastern parts of England also sees those clear skies
01:17and temperatures falling away. Perhaps the low single figures in some sheltered spots towards
01:21the south-east. Otherwise the temperatures rise later in the night. Back to double figures.
01:27Western areas sees the rain and strengthening wind by dawn as well. So a wet and windy start
01:34for Scotland, Northern Ireland, western parts of England as well as Wales. The outbreaks of
01:38rain do move through. They push into central areas and after a sunny start in the south-east
01:44it turns cloudy and breezy here as well. But actually the rain by the afternoon turns more
01:49showery in many places. The skies brighten to the north and the west. Sunny spells reappear
01:55and temperatures recover 17 to 19 once again in the south, 15 or 16 further north. The showers
02:02across much of the UK ease away during Wednesday evening become more confined to northern parts
02:07of the country. A clear night to come then for southern areas but it will stay breezy and as a
02:13result it won't be a particularly cold night. And then by Thursday another blustery day to come
02:19outbreaks of rain in some northern and central parts followed by showers.
