00:00Hello there. The best of the sunshine will be across northern parts of the UK on Monday.
00:04The risk of thunderstorms across southern counties of England in particular.
00:08The reason for this is low pressures in charge of the weather here. Further north, high pressures in
00:13charge. But this will gradually push its way southwards, pushing those heavy showers away
00:18as we head towards midweek. Back to Sunday evening, bands of heavy rain will continue
00:22to move northwestwards across parts of England and Wales. Some heavy downpours possible.
00:26MetEOR is warning in force for those heavy downpours, leading to the risk of some localised
00:31flooding. Clearer skies across northern parts of England, North Wales, Northern Ireland and
00:35also Scotland. And here is where we'll see the lowest temperatures falling to around five or
00:40six Celsius in the countryside. But in towns and cities holding up in double figures, particularly
00:45across England and Wales, under the cloud and the rain, 14 to 15 degrees as a minimum. So quite a
00:52muggy, cloudy, murky start to the day here, with that rain still clearing parts of the Midlands and
00:57Wales as we go through Monday morning, turning brighter from the south into the afternoon. But
01:01that increases the risk of thundery showers. And MetEOR is warning in force for those showers as
01:06we move into the afternoon. Dryer and brighter across northern England, Northern Ireland,
01:10Scotland right through the day. Here temperatures will reach the low 20s, 23, 24 Celsius as possible.
01:17Cooler under the cloud across the central swathe of the UK, struggling to get into the high teens.
01:22And warm and humid across southern parts of England, 23 or 24 Celsius, with the continued
01:28risk of thunderstorms as we move through Monday evening. Some hail, some thunder in there and some
01:32localised flooding issues are possible, whilst northern parts of the UK will stay dry and settle
01:38to end Monday. The outlook is for it to stay dry and settle across northern parts of the UK.
01:43Temperatures rising further. In the south the heavy rain continues,
01:46but it should gradually ease as we head towards midweek.
