00:06never miss a forecast.
00:08Lots going on with the weather again this week.
00:10The satellite image is fairly messy.
00:13One line of cloud crossing the UK and another one
00:15waiting in the wings.
00:16A couple of areas of low pressure,
00:18and it's all heading in from the west.
00:21So we're going to see further rain in places
00:23over the next couple of days.
00:24Through Monday afternoon, it's mostly
00:26going to be across the east, because this band of rain
00:28is clearing away from the west.
00:29We've had some heavy downpours on Monday morning.
00:32Still the potential for some thunderstorms
00:34across eastern England, particularly East Anglia
00:36and the southeast, and also northeast Scotland
00:39this afternoon.
00:39So one or two very heavy downpours.
00:41But for many central and western parts,
00:43it is turning drier through the rest of Monday
00:46with some sunny spells.
00:47It isn't particularly warm.
00:49Temperatures around or a touch below average,
00:51certainly feeling fairly fresh on the western coast.
00:55And here comes that next area of rain
00:56that we saw earlier on the satellite image.
00:58That's going to spill into Northern Ireland
01:01through the evening elsewhere.
01:02The showers in the east taking a few hours to clear.
01:04But for much of northeast Scotland,
01:07central and eastern England, it's going to be a dry night.
01:09But that rain, once it's into Northern Ireland,
01:12turning pretty heavy, turning into a very soggy night here
01:14and turning into a very wet morning
01:16for western parts of Scotland.
01:19With the wet weather moving in and the winds picking up,
01:21that'll keep the temperatures up in double digits.
01:23But for central and eastern parts of England,
01:25certainly rural spots dipping down to single figures.
01:28So a fresh-ish start here, but some good spouts of sunshine
01:32Tuesday morning across the Midlands and eastern England.
01:35And here, actually, it's a fine day on Tuesday.
01:38Whereas for Northern Ireland, pretty wet start.
01:41And that rain just gets heavier through the day
01:43across western Scotland, especially southwest Scotland.
01:46Bright colours there, that rain really
01:48building up through the day.
01:49And it could cause a few problems,
01:51potential for a bit of flooding from that rain
01:53as it continues through much of the day.
01:56By the afternoon, that rain will have crept into west Wales
01:58and southwest England, perhaps clearing for a time
02:01from Northern Ireland.
02:02Not much rain for northeast Scotland.
02:04And as I said, much of central and eastern England
02:06staying dry with sunny spells across east Anglia
02:08and southeast.
02:09Top temperatures here, 22, maybe 23 Celsius.
02:12That's feeling pretty pleasant.
02:14But for the west, again, high teens for many
02:17and feeling cooler because of the winds
02:20and the outbreaks of rain.
02:21And that persistent rain continuing into the evening
02:24over parts of western Scotland before slowly tracking
02:28further eastwards.
02:28It's tending to break up that rain band
02:30as it heads into the Midlands and northwest England.
02:34So the rain a bit more hit and miss here,
02:36but more showers coming into Northern Ireland.
02:38You can see the swirl here.
02:40That's that area of low pressure,
02:42which kind of sticking around in one form or another
02:45for much of the rest of the week.
02:47And these weather fronts enhanced areas of showers.
02:50So it's a showery rest of the week.
02:53There are signs, however, as this high pressure
02:56starts to build in of things turning drier and a bit warmer
03:00once more across southern parts as we
03:02head towards the weekend.
03:04That's a wee while off, however.
03:06So make sure you stay up to date with all the very latest.
03:09And as I said, if you subscribe to our YouTube channel,
03:11you won't miss a forecast.
