00:00Hello. If you're watching this on YouTube, don't forget to hit subscribe and then you'll never miss a forecast.
00:05Could be quite important, particularly if you head into next week and the Jubilee weekend.
00:10As for the current situation, high pressure is moving in and kind of breaking apart.
00:14This weather front and this high moving in will bring most of us a fine day on Friday
00:19and for many of us, sunny spells on Saturday as well.
00:22Notice, however, there are still plenty of ice bars stacked across the northern half of the UK,
00:26still pretty blustery, therefore, across Scotland.
00:29Plenty of showers packing in here on Thursday night, starting to ease across southern Scotland.
00:34Now, weather front, springing cloud and a bit of patchy rain across the south for a time.
00:39But by dawn, that should be out of the way, leading to a bit of a chilly start to Friday,
00:45certainly across these central areas where the winds are lighter with clear skies down to single figures.
00:50Some rural spots could be as low as two or three Celsius.
00:54So a chilly start to Friday, but by and large, a fine start.
00:57The main exception will be northern Scotland, where there will still be showers coming in.
01:02They'll ease through the day, but we'll keep some going, particularly across the far north well into the afternoon.
01:07It's staying pretty breezy here also.
01:10For most, though, it's looking dry and bright.
01:12The winds lighter than Thursday and with some sunshine, it'll feel pretty pleasant out there.
01:20Across the Midlands, Wales, southern England, temperatures a few degrees higher than Thursday's values,
01:25getting up to 19, 20, maybe 21 or 22 in a few spots.
01:29Still on the cool side across Scotland with a brisk wind and a few showers continuing to come in, particularly to the northeast.
01:36They will continue to ease off, though.
01:39So for most, Friday evening's dry and fine.
01:42It is going to turn quite fresh quite quickly.
01:44So if you're heading out, bear that in mind and it will be pretty chilly first thing on Saturday morning.
01:49But for most, also, Saturday morning brings more blue sky.
01:53A cracking looking day, actually, for the vast majority.
01:56Cloud will develop through the day, parts of Northern Ireland, eastern England.
02:00There is the small chance of a shower or two here and certainly a continued risk of showers over northeast Scotland
02:06and the northern isles where it will stay fairly gusty.
02:09But for most elsewhere, the winds are coming down from the north, so they are bringing cool air.
02:14But with some sunshine at this time of year, it shouldn't feel too bad.
02:18High teens, low 20s across the south.
02:21Feeling cool, though, with that breeze across northeast Scotland and along some of these North Sea coasts as well.
02:27That'll feel fairly fresh at 14 or 15 degrees.
02:30And that northerly wind around this area of high pressure gets a bit stronger by the time we get to Sunday.
02:36And low pressure actually starts to take control as the high shrinks away.
02:41And this low edging in means much more cloud pushing in across the country during Sunday and as we head into Monday.
02:48So Sunday looking a lot cloudier generally and quite a bit cooler as well.
02:53Although there'll be a few showers, but many places will still remain dry.
