00:00Welcome along to your National Weather Outlook. It's set fair, the weather through Friday,
00:05Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday and Monday, although it may well turn a little cooler
00:09through the long weekend. Now, most of us seeing sunny spells today, certainly across
00:13the south. There is some areas of cloud, but it's fairly patchy in nature over Wales and
00:17northern England. Thickest cloud over northern Scotland. A little bit of light rain and drizzle
00:21is possible here and a brisk breeze keeping the temperatures down, temperatures in the
00:26Northern Isles 12, 13 at best. Now, some of the coasts notice that cooler tinge on
00:31North Sea coast will be a little fresher and also a fairly brisk breeze along the south
00:36coast too, but certainly in lands across parts of the Midlands down to South Wales, South
00:41West England over 20 Celsius, 22 likely to be the top temperature through the day today.
00:46Now, as we go through the evening and overnight, I think we'll see that cloud melting away
00:50such that it is. The cloud will still be fairly thick over the Northern Isles for the odd
00:54spot of drizzly rain during the evening and then later in the night, we'll start to see
00:59the cloud increasing, the breeze picking up again over the Western Isles. Again, a little
01:02bit of light rain as possible. But for most, it's a dry night, clear spells, maybe a little
01:07bit of mist and fog here and there. Brisk breeze still blowing along the south coast
01:11and where the winds are lightest, we've got clear skies over parts of the Midlands, East
01:15Wales. Temperatures could easily in rural spots get down to two or three degrees Celsius.
01:20So a coolish start to the weekends, but generally another fine day on Saturday. There will be
01:26cloud increasing still over northern Scotland and some outbreaks of rain coming in over
01:31the Highlands, perhaps just trickling a little further south by the afternoon. But I suspect
01:36the central belt, although clouding over, will stay dry and bright along with the east
01:41coast of Scotland as well. And much of England, Wales, Northern Ireland, fine with decent
01:45spells of sunshine. That wind picking up again across the far north, although actually the
01:50Highlands, the Western Isles may turn a bit brighter come the afternoon after a fairly
01:54cloudy morning. Temperature wise, well, we again will see temperatures in the south getting
01:59up over 20 degrees Celsius. And again, parts of the West Midlands, southeast Wales, down
02:05towards the southwest. That's likely to see the top temperatures. We could reach 23, maybe
02:1024 degrees. Again, coastal will be cooler and it will be cooler further north because
02:14this line of petering out rain is actually a weather front which will continue to trickle
02:20southwards as we go through Saturday evening. The rain fizzling out, but just introducing
02:25a bit more cloud. And it is introducing cooler air as well behind it because it is a cold
02:30front. Behind that, though, the high pressure moves back in. So although we've got that
02:34cold front drifting in, high pressure will stay in charge through Sunday and Monday.
02:40And that means a lot of fine weather, a lot of sunny spells likely even through the bank
02:44holiday. But it will be turning a little bit cooler because if we rewind and put the temperature
02:49profile on, you can see that behind that cold front, there is chillier air in evidence
02:53across Scotland and eastern England on Sunday and then that cooler air spreading south for
02:59all places by Monday. But signs of temperatures maybe then recovering again as we go through
03:05next week as that high pressure remains firmly in control. So lots of fine weather to be
03:09had. Don't forget, UV levels will be high this weekend. So don't forget the sunscreen
03:14and don't forget to follow us across social media.
