00:00Hello again. The weather is expected to turn much colder later next week. Still a lot of
00:07uncertainty, but for more information on that, head to the Met Office YouTube channel where
00:10you'll be able to find the Met Office 10-day trend and for more updates like that, of course,
00:15remember to hit subscribe. But for the time being, it's very mild across the UK. Many
00:20places are cloudy during the rest of the day. There will be some rain at times, particularly
00:25close to these weather fronts, northern parts of Scotland, Orkney, north of the mainland
00:28of Scotland. Further south, a westerly breeze bringing in that mild and moist air mass
00:34and a lot of cloud cover. And really, any breaks can find two parts of the Midlands,
00:40eastern England, where there will be some brighter spells, but for the vast majority
00:43it's cloudy, that cloud covering hills in the north and the west, bringing some light
00:47outbreaks of rain and drizzle to south-west England, Wales, north-west England. But the
00:51more persistent stuff there for northern parts of Scotland, although it does ease a little
00:56later in the day. A blustery wind, gusts of 50mph across some northern hills, but it's
01:02coming from the west and that means that in the east, given some breaks in the cloud and
01:06some shelter from that breeze, 16 Celsius is possible, especially eastern Scotland where
01:11there is a small chance of 17 degrees. Otherwise, for most, it's 13s and 14s, I think, for Thursday
01:18afternoon. Keep the cloud cover overnight. The wind picks up, if anything, across northern
01:23parts of Scotland, 60mph wind gusts for Shetland. And the outbreaks of rain continue, especially
01:29again for Orkney, parts of the Outer Hebrides, the north of the mainland of Scotland. Some
01:34light outbreaks of rain over western hills and coasts elsewhere. Otherwise, a cloudy
01:39night, a breezy night, so a mild night. In some places, very mild, 13 Celsius possible,
01:45again, eastern Scotland likely to be the warm spot. Not particularly cold anywhere as we
01:50start off Friday. Some breaks possible across central and eastern areas, actually increasingly
01:56so. It looks like there'll be some brighter skies compared to Thursday across parts of
02:00central and eastern England, even parts of north-west England, south-west Scotland, northern
02:04Ireland. But the persistent wet weather there for northern Scotland continues, cloudy skies
02:09elsewhere, some light rain over western hills and coasts and that breeze again, fairly blustery
02:16in the north. But it's once more coming from that mild direction, so 13s and 14s, with
02:22a 16 possible in some north-eastern parts. It's a Friday night, clear spells in one or
02:28two spots, but otherwise it's generally a cloudy and mild night for most. The outbreaks
02:32of rain in the north of Scotland start to sink south and, well, this weather front does,
02:38on Saturday, make some progress southwards. It brings a spell of rain in the north, but
02:43it does clear through, so that brighter skies follow for Sunday, some decent sunny spells,
02:48but also some showers, especially for eastern and south-western coasts, and it's going to
02:53feel colder. Now, at this stage, temperatures are only dropping back to around average for
02:58the time of year, feeling colder, obviously, than it does at the moment. But the much colder
03:04weather that I mentioned at the very beginning, well, that's not really expected until later
03:09next week, and still uncertainty about the details of that, but certainly a marked change
03:13compared to the very mild weather that we're seeing over the next few days. And, of course,
03:18we'll keep you updated on all of that. You can stay up to date by following us on social
03:22media. Bye-bye.
