00:00Hello, some remarkable warmth at the weekend with Porthmadog and Wales recording 21.2 Celsius,
00:06the latest in the year. 21 Celsius has ever been recorded. But it's going to turn cooler
00:12this week as westerlies return. We've had southerlies at the weekend, still got them
00:18at the moment ahead of a cold front and still a lot of low cloud and mist and some fog around
00:24during the afternoon, particularly through parts of Lincolnshire into Yorkshire. Some
00:28brightness coming through ahead of the cold front, but the cold front has already brought
00:31some outbreaks of rain to western areas. It's edging very slowly eastwards, not a great
00:37deal of rain associated with it, but a damp afternoon to come for western Scotland, north-west
00:41England into parts of east Wales and central southern England. Temperatures a little lower
00:45than the weekend, but still above average for the time of year. And feeling pleasant
00:50in Northern Ireland, parts of south-west Wales and the south-west of England with the sunshine
00:54reappearing towards the end of the day. But only temporarily do we keep those clear skies
00:59because the next wet and windy bout comes along for Northern Ireland into the evening,
01:05parts of Wales and the south-west. Some intense rainfall to come across some central and south-western
01:10areas, yellow rain warning in force. And that rain pushes into western Scotland and parts
01:14of northern England by the end of the night. Clear spells ahead of it, temperatures dipping
01:17to 5 to 8 Celsius, but it's for most a breezy and unsettled night. With those outbreaks
01:24of rain first thing for many on Tuesday, some heavy and persistent rain in places. It is
01:29pushing east, it's clearing Northern Ireland, west Wales and the south-west. Some sunshine
01:33for a time here, however for the south-west we're soon seeing some winds strengthen during
01:39the afternoon and some heavy showers return. The persistent rain arrives into eastern Scotland
01:44and north-east England, parts of Yorkshire by the end of the afternoon. Some very wet
01:49weather here and the winds strengthening as well, gales for the northern isles and for
01:54all of us temperatures are going to be a degree or a few degrees down compared with Monday.
02:00So a breezy end to Tuesday for many, those blustery showers across Wales and the south-west
02:05pushing their way north-eastwards. Some gaps in between the showers and for northern Ireland
02:09and western Scotland, parts of the Midlands, East Anglia, clear spells continue into the
02:13evening but for many others it is breezy. We've got some heavy outbreaks of rain at
02:17times and the weather stays very changeable through the rest of the week.
