00:00Hello there. Warnings for dense fog into Friday morning causing problems on the roads
00:05and it's likely to persist through the morning across one or two prone spots. Elsewhere, we've
00:10lost the wind across Scotland, still a lot of clouds and also some patchy rain and drizzle.
00:15We can pick up on that wet weather across more northern areas of Scotland with a stronger wind
00:20through Thursday evening. This weather front here just pivots down towards Aberdeenshire,
00:24still some patchy drizzle for the Western Highlands. Elsewhere, that fog will reform
00:28and become quite widespread, particularly across East Wales and the central part of England.
00:33Some pockets of frost and fog also for Northern Ireland, but very widespread frost anywhere
00:39from the southern part of Yorkshire southwards. So a cold start to the day
00:44come Friday morning and that fog will again be a problem through a morning rush hour.
00:49Through the day though, we'll see some brighter skies emerge, particularly across England and
00:53Wales. Southern Scotland seeing some brighter breaks as well as Northern Ireland. This patchy
00:57rain here doesn't really do much across the far north of Scotland and certainly across Shetland.
01:01You'll see some brighter, clearer and colder weather. Elsewhere, more clouds across the far
01:06northwest of Scotland. Again, some patchy drizzle. Now, temperatures will hold in single figures.
01:11Generally, temperatures not as high as they have been across Scotland, even so above average for
01:16this time of year. Here's that high pressure waning towards the near continent through
01:20Saturday into Sunday. We see a weather front just gradually sink its way southwards, bringing with
01:25it some clearer air, but also some strong winds on Sunday across the far north and northeast of
01:30Scotland, extending into the first part of next week as well as high pressure exerts itself from
01:36the south. So yet again, we'll see some quiet conditions, particularly across England and Wales
01:40with the risk of fog and frost by night, but some brighter skies coming through. Bye-bye.
