00:00Hello, I'm Greg Dewhurst and welcome to Saturday's forecast. High pressure generally dominating

00:07through much of this weekend, particularly the further south and east you are. Weak weather

00:10fronts bringing stronger winds and patchy rain across the northwest of the UK. However,

00:15it is all change as we go into the beginning of next week as rain moves back in from the

00:19Atlantic. For Saturday afternoon, plenty of sunshine across England and Wales. Sunshine

00:24will be hazy at times for western areas. Best of the blue skies in southeast England.

00:29Cloudy skies across Northern Ireland and Scotland, but there will be some brighter interludes,

00:34but perhaps a little bit of patchy light rain over the higher ground. Southerly winds turning

00:39brisk as the day goes on, but importing some mild air temperatures 11 or 12 Celsius. The

00:45winds increasing further across the west of the UK later on this evening of gusts of 50,

00:49possibly 60 mph across Western Scotland later on. This is accompanied with some patchy rain

00:55across Western Scotland and Northern Ireland during the early hours. Elsewhere will see

00:59clear skies. This will allow temperatures to dip away, but not quite as low as they

01:03were into Saturday morning, but still lows getting close to freezing. So patchy frost

01:09to start Sunday morning across some central and southern parts of England and Wales. This

01:15will soon clear and then plenty of dry weather to come. Plenty of sunshine across much of

01:19England and Wales. Perhaps the cloud increasing across Western Wales, Southwest England later

01:24on in the day. Northern Ireland and Scotland also seeing increasing cloud, some brightness

01:29at times, but some rain over the higher ground once more. Southerly winds not quite as brisk

01:34as Saturday, but still coming in from the South, so highs of 10 or 11, possibly 12 Celsius

01:40above average. However, into Monday we will see cloudier skies, wetter weather spreading
